Facilidade de uso


The use of an earthed socket is recommended. • Never place the appliance directly below an electrical wall socket • Never plug the control module into the mains supply if it is not connected to the appliance. • NEVER PLACE THE APPLIANCE CLOSE TO A BATH, SHOWER OR SWIMMING POOL • Do not handle the appliance with wet hands. • Do not operate the appliance with the cable still coiled. • Do not leave the paella pan operating unattended, especially when there are children about. • Always place the appliance on a flat, level surface. • Do not use or place the appliance on or near hot gas burners, electric hot plates or in a hot oven. • Do not move the appliance while it is operating. • ATTENTION: This appliance must only be used with the detachable control module supplied by the manufacturer. The use of any other type of connection may place the user at risk. • IMPORTANT: Remove the detachable control module before cleaning the appliance. Make sure that the connection socket is completely dry before attempting to use the appliance again. • WARNING, hot surfaces! Do not touch the paella pan while it is switched on. Use the handles and plastic parts to handle it. • Unplug the appliance from the mains when it is not in use and before cleaning it. • Never unplug it by tugging on the mains cable. • Do not let the cable come into contact with hot surfaces. • Make sure that the appliance is unplugged and cold before cleaning it. • Do not immerse the detachable control module in water or any other liquid. It must always be cleaned with a dry cloth. • This appliance has been designed for domestic use only. Do not use the paella pan outdoors. • There are no user serviceable parts on the inside. Repairs must only be done by an Authorised Technical Ser vice Centre. If the mains cable becomes damaged then in the interest of safety it will have to be replaced with a special cable assembly supplied by an Authorised Technical Service Centre. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Before its first use, wipe down the paella pan with a damp cloth in order to remove any possible dirt. Always place the appliance on a flat, level surface. Never place the appliance on hot surfaces. Plug the detachable control module into its socket then plug the appliance into the mains supply and select the most appropriate temperature for the food to be cooked. Wait a few minutes for the paella pan to reach temperature. When this happens the pilot light will go out. The pilot light will go on and off during cooking; this shows that the paella pan is maintaining the selected temperature. Always use the spatula (9) or a similar wooden kitchen utensil to stir and turn the food. This will prevent the non-stick surface from becoming scratched. The use of metal utensils is not recom mended. Use the glass lid (7) if you wish. This glass lid is heat resistant and helps to distribute the heat evenly. The glass lid provides a convenient way to check the food without splashes or odours. It is equipped with a small safety valve that allows steam to escape during cooking. After use, turn the temperature selector back to 0 and unplug the appliance from the mains. ADVICE ON USE -The UFESA paella pan has been designed to prepare paellas quickly and easily. -Clean and dice the meat, vegetables and other ingredients before you switch the paella pan on. -Saute the ingredients in a generous amount of olive oil at temperature setting “2”. -The correct amount of risk can be worked out by using the measuring cup (8). Add one cup of rice per person and then add twice as much water as rice. -Once the rice and water are in the pan, turn the thermostat to temperature setting “4”. -As soon as it begins to boil turn the temperature down but keep it on the boil. -If necessary, more water can be added to stop the rice from burning. -Once the rice is cooked, leave it to stand for 5 to 10 minutes with the lid on. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Check that the appliance is unplugged and that it has cooled down sufficiently. Do not wait for it to go stone cold as it is always easier to remove remains while the paella pan is still warm. Always clean the paella pan after each use, as this will prevent food scraps from becoming stuck to it. Wipe the paella pan clean with kitchen paper. Stubborn remains can be removed with the help of a little oil. The rest of the appliance can be cleaned with damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents as these could damage the non-stick coating. The paella pan and the glass lid can be immersed in water and are dishwasher safe. The detachable control module must always be cleaned with a dr y cloth. Do not subject the glass lid to sudden changes in temperature. If the lid is hot, do not pour cold water on it.
