Wipe the unit base with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. remove stubborn spots by rubbing with a damp cloth and non-abrasive cleaner. do not immerse the unit base in liquid. 3. all removable parts can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher. The lid, measuring cup, collar, gasket and blade assembly should be placed in the top rack only. disassemble before placing in the dishwasher. The Jars are bottom rack dishwasher-safe. do not place the jars or any other parts in boiling liquids. 4. if liquids spill into the unit base; first unplug the unit, then wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. do not use rough scouring pads or cleansers on parts or finish. Recipes REFRIED BEANS 2 cans (15-16 oz/425-454 g each) pinto beans or 4 cups (960 ml) freshly cooked pinto beans with their liquid 1 small onion, chopped 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1/4 cup (60 ml) bacon drippings or vegetable oil 1. drain beans and reserve liquid. in a medium skillet, cook beans, onion and garlic over medium-high heat until onions are very soft. 2. Place 1 cup of the bean mixture in blender jar; cover and mix (speed 2).
