When the water boils, the appliance automatically switches off. The switch moves in to the OFF position and the pilot light goes out. Boiling may be stopped at any time by using the switch (Fig-4) SAFETY SYSTEM The kettle has a triple safety system which will switch it off: - When the water boils. - When the kettle is accidentally switched on when it is empty. - When the kettle is taken off the connection platform. CLEANING Before cleaning, check that the kettle is unplugged and cold. Do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. The appliance body surface can be wiped with a wet cloth and then polished with a dry cloth. WARNING: Do not use scouring pads and abrasive cleaners to clean the appliance! To make cleaning easier, the filter can be removed. To do this; open the lid, press gently on the filter pushing it slowly inward. (Fig-5) Before reusing the kettle, check that the electrical connectionns and outside surface are completely dry. The kettle may be stored with the cord wound up under the connection platform. DESCALING If the water in the particular area is very hard, deposits will form in the kettle and it may switch itself off before the water boils. Proceed as follows to descale the kettle: 1. Fill up to the “MAX” mark with a solution of water plus a few drops of vinegar. Switch the kettle on and wait until it switches itself off automatically. 2. Unplug the kettle and leave the solution inside it for several hours. 3. Pour the solution out and boil water to the “MAX” mark a few times to get rid of any trace of vinegar. Rinse the kettle with clean water. REPAIRS If your appliance is defective, please take it to an Authorized technical Service. ADVICE ON DISPOSAL: Our goods come in optimized packaging. Achten Sie darrauf, dass das Kabel nicht herunterhangt und nicht mit hei.en Flachen in Beruhrung kommt. Ziehen Sie nicht am Kabel, um den Stecker des Wasserkochers aus der Steckdose zu ziehhen. • Tauchen Sie weder den Wasserkocher nicht die Anschlussplatte in Wasser oder andere Flussigkeiten. • Benutzen Sie den Wasserkocher nicht, wenn Kabel oder Stecker beschadigt sind, Funktionsunregelma.igkeiten aufttreten oder das Gerat beschadigt ist.
