Check frequently to make sure that your baby’s head and body are in an upright position in the carrier. Baby’s chin should not point down toward baby’s chest. Do not wear this carrier while cooking or engaging in activities which might prove harmful to your baby. A WARNING FALL HAZARD! Small children can fall through a leg opening. Follow instructions for use. Only use this carrier for children between 14 - 36 lbs. / 6.36 - 16.36 kgs. Child must face towards you. Adjust leg openings to smallest possible size. Never leave baby unattended. Carriers are not designed for holding child in motor vehicles and should not be used in place of a car seat that meets federal motor vehicle safety standards. Putting on Your Side Rider® 1. Side Rider® must be fitted on wearer before placing child In carrier. Please complete steps 2-5 and then proceed to “Placing baby in Side Rider®.” 2. Secure waist strap so that Side Rider® is centered on hip. Locate adjustable padding and center it on other hip. (Figure 1). 3. Tighten straps as needed. To contain excess straps simply roll straps in towards you and secure with hook and loop fastener. 4. Pull Side Rider® strap over your head and bringarmclosesttocarrierthrough as well. Side Rider® has a unique shoulder strap system called the Set&Forget™. To use this feature simply adjust strap for best fit by tightening strap. When It is time to place baby in carrier, release buckle and follow the next set of instructions “Placing baby in Side Rider®.” (Figure 3). Placing Baby in Side Rider® 1. Supportchlld’s weight until Side Rider® is completely fastened. 2. Make sure the Side Rider® forms a seat on your hip. Unfasten the Set&Forget™ buckle. Pull shoulder strap away from your body. Lift child onto hip sliding them under strap and into seat. The child should straddle your hip. (Figure 4). 3. Secure child in seat by fastening safety harness. (Figures 5-7). 4. Refasten and tighten Set&Forget" strap. (Figure 8).
