INSTRUCTION MANUAL DELUXE SOFT EMBRACE " COMFORT BOUNCER Thank you for buying the Deluxe Soft Embrace™ Comfort Bouncer from Summer Infant. This bouncer will provide your little one with the ultimate in comfort. Newborns love to be cradled, so we've designed the Soft Embrace™ Comfort Bouncer to first and foremost support and hold your baby like they were in your arms. The ultra-plush padded seat provides a secure and inviting place just for baby. Soothing melodies, ocean and heartbeat sounds, and calming vibrations can be chosen in different combinations to please your child's individual needs as well. The Deluxe Soft Embrace™... like your embrace. A WARNING: • NEVER leave child unattended. • ALWAYS use restraint system. • NEVER use for a child able to sit up unassisted. • FALL HAZARD: (1) Child’s activity may move bouncer. Use only on floor. Never use on an elevated surface. • SUFFOCATION HAZARD: (1) Never use on a soft surface (bed, sofa, cushion), as seat may tip over and cause suffocation. • Do not use this infant seat if it is damaged or broken. t 'Summer; V - - k A BATTERY WARNING: • Do not mix old and new batteries. • Do not mix alkaline, standard, or rechargeable batteries. • Remove batteries when bouncer is stored for long periods of time or when batteries are exhausted. • Dispose of exhausted batteries properly. COMPONENTS: Frame Knuckle Screw (2) Screw (2) Seat Cover Assembly (includes Headrest Tube & Footrest Wire) Toys (3) Left Knuckle Right Knuckle Mobile Toy Holder ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: Step 1: Install batteries in the Right Knuckle (requires 4 "AA" batteries, not included). Unlatch battery door (using a coin or flathead screwdriver) and lift battery separator out of the way. Insert 2 "AA" batteries making sure the + and - are facing the correct way (Figure A). Place battery separator over the 2 installed batteries and install 2 additional "AA" batteries (Figure A2). The battery compartment is labeled for clarity. Re-attach the battery door. Step 2: Slide Left Knuckle onto base, align holes, (Figure B) and screw into place with Knuckle Screw (Figure B2). Hint: Look inside the knuckle to locate the channel to receive the base rod. Step 3: Slide Right Knuckle onto base, align holes, (Figure C) and screw into place with Knuckle Screw (Figure C2). Step 4: Slide the Seat Assembly Headrest Tube onto the Left and Right Knuckles, align holes, (Figure D), and screw into place with Frame Screw (Figure D2). Hint: Lift up on headrest to align holes. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (continued): Step 5: Insert Seat Assembly Footrest Wire into hole on the inside of the Left and Right Knuckles (Figure E). Step 6: Fold down into position (Figure F). Footrest will "click" in place. Hint: Assure fabric and small cap do not interfere. Step 7: Take Mobile Arm Unit and hook Mobile Toy Holder into place (Figure G). Step 8: Attach toy onto the Mobile Toy Holder (Figure H). Repeat for the remaining two toys. Step 9: Remove cap and plug the Mobile Arm Unit into the adapter jack hole located on the Right Knuckle (Figure I). Be sure that the adapter jack is plugged in securely ;n>l r _ • r H TO USE BOUNCER: Mobile Motion: To activate Mobile press the Power button located on the Right Knuckle (Figure J). Select Motion: Set the intensity of the vibration by turning the intensity knob on the outside of the Right Knuckle. Desirable speed depends on baby's size. For a small baby, select a slower motion speed. Turn the intensity knob clockwise to increase motion speed. To shut-off, turn the intensity knob counter-clockwise to the Off position (Figure K). Select Sound: There is a 4-position slide switch on the front side of the Right Knuckle. Set the 4-position slide switch to hear music, heartbeat or ocean sounds (Figure L). Positon 1 (Top): Heartbeat sounds Position 2: Ocean sounds Position 3: Five 30-second melodies and 15-minute auto shut-off feature Position 4: Shut-Off switch To Adjust Seat Position: Upright for feeding, semi-upright for playtime, and reclined for naptime. Do not change seat position while baby is in bouncer. To change the position, grasp each side of the frame and slide out of the slots in the Knuckles. Insert both sides into the slot that will give you the desired position (Figure M). Place baby in bouncer and position the restraining belt over his lap.
