You will see that there are two battery compartments. The smaller battery compartment powers the soother; the larger battery compartment powers the toy bar. • First, loosen the screw in the soother battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment door. • Insert one “D” (LR20) alkaline battery, as indicated inside the battery compartment. • Replace the battery compartment door. Tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten. • Next, loosen the screws in the toy bar battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. • Insert three “D” (LR20) alkaline batteries, as indicated inside the battery compartment. • Replace the battery compartment door. Battery Installation 4 Soother Battery Compartment Toy Bar Battery Compartment Battery Tips 5 1.5V – Soother 1.5V x 3 – Toy Bar “D” (LR20) SHOWN ACTUAL SIZE + – •Do not mix old and new batteries. •Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium). •Remove the batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Battery leakage and corrosion can damage this product. Dispose of batteries safely. •Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
