SM-CTE INSTRUCTION MANUAL SM-CTE Memo Please use as notations. — 8 — SM-CTE / C B A Please read before use. Keep the instructions for future references. — 1 — How to Use Please rinse the Lid Set, Tea Strainer Set and the interior of the Mug well with warm water before use. Be sure to check if the Seal Rubber, Tea Strainer Gasket is set correctly before use to avoid leakage. When using tealeaves. 1 Remove the Lid Set from the Mug. • Do not only remove the Lid Cover but remove the Lid Set. • Leave the Tea Strainer in the Mug. 2 Put tealeaves into the Tea Strainer, add hot water and close the Lid Set. If the Mug Is filled too much, discard a little amount of tealeaves and hot water, and then close the Lid Set. 3 Open the Lid Set and drink. Open the Lid Set and place It as Illustrated. Take out the Tea Strainer and place on the Lid Set. •When taking the Tea Strainer out from the Mug, be careful not to burn yourself as its handle and tealeaves can be very hot. • Drain well when taking the Tea Strainer out from the Mug. • Be careful not to let the Tea Strainer fall off from the Lid Set. • Finer tea leaf pieces than the Tea Strainer mesh may get mixed with the tea. 4 When finished drinking, put the Tea Strainer back into the Mug and close the Lid Set. •When closing the Lid Set, fold down the Tea Strainer Handle. • Do not carry the Mug by the Tea Strainer Handle. The Tea Strainer may detach from the Mug and the Mug may drop and cause scalding. When drinking while the Tea Strainer Is set In the Mug, be sure that It Is fitted securely. •Adjust the amount of tealeaves, as you like. •Close the Lid Set securely. When tealeaves (and the Tea Strainer) are not used. 1 Remove the Lid Set from the Mug. • Do not only remove the Lid Cover but remove the Lid Set. 2 Pour a drink and close the Lid Set. •Close the Lid Set securely. Pour a little amount of hot/cold water Into the Mug and leave for about 1 minute to pre-heat/pre-cool achieving better heat retention. Cleaning • For better usage, please remember to clean after every use. •When cleaning the Lid Set and the Tea Strainer Set, be sure to disassemble them Into parts. (See pg.6&7) Rinse the whole exterior with warm water or with water, then wipe it dry. The Lid Set and the Tea Strainer Set Apply the diluted kitchen detergent to a sponge and wash. After rinsing, shake several times and wipe them dry. As by using the product with tea leaves, the Tea Strainer Set and Lid Set may discolor by tea stains. Although tea stains can not be removed thoroughly, they would not affect the usage of the product. The Inside Wash the Inside of the Mug with a sponge brush with a handle, then dry it well. To avoid odors to develop, always wash the Inside clean after every use. • Do not use a thinner, benzene, metal brush, and a brush with polishing substance, abrasive cleansers to avoid damages to the product. • Do not use chlorine type bleach to avoid rust and pinholes to the Interior. •Do not boil or use dish dryer or dish washer to clean the product to avoid damages, rust and deformation. •Do not leave the product soaked in water. To remove rust spots or water stains. As using the product you may find rust spots or water stains caused by substances and quality of water. To clean and remove such stains, remove the Tea Strainer Set and fill the mug with hot water containing 10% of vinegar and let stand for about 30 minutes._^ For cleaning stainless steel vacuum products and removing tea stains, we recommend using Zojirushl's cleaning detergent SB-ZA01. Remove the Lid Set when using the cleaning detergent SB-ZA01. Please contact Zojirushi Customer Service or your local dealer for further information._ — 4 — — 5 — Please follow the instructions (This product is for keeping beverages hot or cold. Do not use for other purposes.) Please follow the following instructions to avoid scalding, deformation and discoloration of drinks, as well as malfunction and contamination of the product. Keep the product away from the reach of infants. Drink Level Keep the drink level as shown in the illustration below. - When using the Mug without the Tea Strainer. Fill up the product about 1cm below the rim (part A.) Inside of the Mug When using the Mug ^ Limit to fill' with the Tea Strainer (drinks up to this j (tealeavesfteabags). X'--Jne!_ Be careful not to over fill the Mug. Over filling may cause leakage. Always use with the Seal Rubber attached. Usage without the Seal Rubber may cause scalding and contamination. Be careful not to scald yourself when the product contains hot beverages. Due to the high level thermal effciency, the exterior of the product will not be hot even if the product contains hot beverages. Do not use while driving. May cause scalds and may also stain the interior of the car or your clothes. Attempting to use while driving the car may cause serious accidents. Do not microwave the Mug.
