Electric Power If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances. 2 3 Getting to know your Salton® Rechargeable Wine Chiller Your product may vary slightly from illustration. 1. Wipe interior and exterior of the Wine Chiller with a soft, slightlydamp cloth or sponge. Never use abrasive cleansers or scouringpads to clean the Wine Chiller, as they may damage the surfaces. 3. Allow to dry thoroughly before using. Charging The Battery 1. Insert Adapter into the rear of the unit (see Figure 1.) 2. Plug Adapter into a 120V AC electrical outlet. 3. Charge the The Wine Chiller overnight. The charge lasts forapproximately 80 minutes. NOTE: For longer battery life, it is best to allow the battery to completely drain before recharging. Recycling Of Ni-Cd Batteries This product contains nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries. Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly. This unit is equipped with long lasting, Rechargeable Nickel Cadmium batteries. To protect the environment, they should be removed at the end of the batteries' life for safe disposal in accordance with your local and state requirements. To recycle your nickel-cadmium batteries, follow the directions provided below. Please DO NOT put the main unit or batteries in the trash. Use the collection system provided in your community. Contact your local battery recycling center. Batteries should be removed ONLY WHEN UNIT IS TO BE DISCARDED. Make sure unit is unplugged before dismantling for battery removal. To remove the batteries: Remove the 4 screws from the bottom of main unit using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the bottom plate. Cut the red and black wires, there is one of each, leading to the Battery Pack and remove Battery Pack. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. 4 Using Your Wine Chiller 1. Place beverage container into the Body of the Wine Chiller. 2. Pour ice into the Body and around the beverage container you wish to chill. Ice should reach up to the neck of a bottle or the top of a can. 3. Pour water into the Body and around the beverage container you wish to chill. Water should reach up to the neck of a bottle of the top of a can. 4. Insert Adapter into the rear of the unit (see Figure 1.) 5. Plug Adapter into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
