It is not to be used for commercial purposes. • Do not allow children or the disabled to use the appliance. • Do not attempt to cut frozen foods, bones, etc. • Do not operate the appliance with the cable still coiled. • Do not leave the mains cable close to heat sources or allow it to come into contact with hot surfaces. • Unplug the appliance from the mains when it is not in use. • Never unplug it by tugging on the cable or leave the plug hanging freely and within children’s reach. • Make sure that the appliance is unplugged before proceeding to clean it and always before dismantling any component. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS -To attach the food carriage (2) to the cutting platform (9), fit it onto the outer rail and then bring it down onto the cutting platform (9), see figure 1. -The food pusher for small pieces (3) fits on top of the food carriage (2). -The stop plate (7) allows slice thickness to vary between 0 to 25 mm. This thickness can be set by means of the slice thickness gauge (8), figure 2, using the graduated scale marked on the casing as a guideline. -Press the safety lock button (4) to release the ON button (5), as shown in Figure 3. You can stop pressing the safety lock button (4) as soon as the ON button (5) is pressed. This system operates as a double switch and is designed to act as a safety measure to prevent children from injuring themselves. -This appliance is equipped with a sliced food tray (11) -To remove the rotating blade (6), turn the blade lock nut (10) clockwise (no tools are necessary, use the edge of a coin, for example) whilst holding the blade with the other hand to prevent it from falling when it is released. Handle it with care: The sharp edge may cut you. Figure 4 CLEANING & MAINTENANCE The rotating blade (6) can be washed under the tap or in the dishwasher. Rinse the other detachable pieces in water. Do not use abrasive cleaning products or solvents. Do not dry synthetic materials on or near radiators. Both the motor housing and the cutting platform can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
