Unit Setting the remote code (REMOTE ANS ID) for remote operation The REMOTE ANS ID is used to access your answering device from a remote location with a touch tone phone (see pages 5-23 to 5-28). Using this code, you can retrieve incoming messages recorded on the microcassette tape from a remote location. The REMOTE ANS ID is preset to “111 ”. If you wish to change the number, you can choose any number from “111 ” to “999” except numbers including “0”. Make sure that the first 2 digits of the REMOTE ANS ID number is different from the JUNK MAIL PROHIBITOR ID number (see pages 5-9 and 5-10). Press the MENU button until the following is shown. PROGRAM[1 .DATE 2.TEL 3.SYSTEM 4.REPORT] Press #, then press 08. ENTER YOUR REMOTE ANS ID=111 Enter the desired REMOTE ANS ID using the dial keypad. Example: The REMOTE ANS ID is 456.
