These appliances may be used by children aged 8 years and older and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who lack experience and / or knowledge if they are supervised or have been given instruction in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the dangers involved. Children may not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision. Do not use if the power cord or appliance show any signs of damage. Unplug after every use or if defective. To avoid potential hazards, repairs such as replacing a damaged cord, must only be carried out by our customer service personnel. The power cord . must not touch hot parts; . must not be pulled over sharp edges; . must not be used as a carrying handle. Only use on dry hair; under no circumstances use the appliance on artificial hair. Do not use near water contained in bath tubs, sinks or other containers. Risk of fatal injury! Never allow the appliance to come into contact with water. Even an appliance that has been switched off poses a danger; therefore unplug the appliance after every use or when interrupted in its use. Installing a ground fault circuit interrupter up to 30 mA in the house offers additional protection. Please consult an electrician. Risk of suffocation! Do not allow children to play with packaging material. Caution! The styling nozzle and diffuser can become hot. Allow them to cool down before detaching. Parts and operating controls 1. Air diffuser OVERHEATING SAFETY DEVICE The hairdryer is equipped with an automatic cut-out device that disconnects the heating elements if the air intake becomes accidentally blocked. Remove the cause of the blockage and leave it to cool down. The fan on the hairdryer will continue to work to allow the hairdryer to cool down faster. The appliance will work again after a short while. USE A practical hanging ring allows the appliance to be hung on the wall for easier storage. As an optional accessory, the dryer has an air concentrator that allows the air flow to be directed over a specific area. Use switches (1) and (2) to select the desired speed and power, Figures 1 and 2. The COLD AIR (4) setting lowers the temperature considerably, figure 3, allowing rapid cooling after setting your hair. Releasing the temperature button sets the hairdryer back to its original position. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Disconnect the mains plug before cleaning and storing. Make sure that the appliance is unplugged before attempting to clean it. It needs no special cleaning, just wipe it down with a damp cloth from time to time. Clean the protective filter periodically with the help of a brush to remove any dirt or trapped hair. Press the release button to remove the filter, figure 4. Take the filter out, figure 5, to clean it. With the filter fitted correctly, slot the filter lid back into its housing at the back of the hairdryer, pressing the two sides in to allow it to fit correctly. ADVICE ON DISPOSAL: Our goods come in optimised packaging. This basically consists in using non-contaminating materials which should be handed over to the local waste disposal service as secondary raw materials. Dispose of packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner. This appliance is labelled in accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EG concerning used electrical and electronic appliances (waste electrical and electronic equipment – WEEE). The guideline determines the framework for the return and recycling of used appliances as applicable throughout the EU. Please ask your specialist retailer about current disposal facilities.
