Basic Steps for Shooting and Playback 25 Step 3 Frame a Picture 1 Hold the camera steadily in both hands. • Keep fingers and other objects away from the lens, flash, AF assist-illuminator, microphone, and speaker. • When taking pictures in portrait (“tall”) orientation, turn the camera so that the built-in flash is above the lens. 2 Frame the picture. When zoom is increased beyond the V position, interpolation is initiated and the zoom indicator turns yellow to indicate that interpolation is being applied.
