C Auto Power Off in Smile Timer Mode When Smile timer is set to On, the auto off function (A95) is activated and the camera turns off when any one of the situations indicated below persists and no other operations are performed. • The camera does not detect any faces. • The camera detected a face, but cannot detect a smile. C When the Self-timer Lamp Blinks When using smile timer, the self-timer lamp blinks when the camera detects a face and flickers immediately after the shutter is released. C Releasing the Shutter Manually The shutter can also be released by pressing the shutter-release button. Options Available in the Smart Portrait Menu In smart portrait mode, the following option settings can be changed. The extent of effect applied can be selected. The default setting is Normal. E32 Smile timer When set to On (default setting), the camera detects human faces and then automatically releases the shutter whenever a smile is detected. Self-timer cannot be used with this feature. E32 Blink proof When On is selected, the camera automatically releases the shutter twice each time a picture is taken. Of the two shots, one in which the subject’s eyes are open is saved. The flash cannot be used when On is selected. The default setting is Off. E33 Shooting Features 50 A (Auto) Mode Basic shooting operations can be performed.
