Rev. 7/97 The most important function of your meter is to measure your blood glucose level. The Glucometer® ESPRIT™ system is designed to make this task as simple as possible. The test is done in the TESTING MODE using a simple, integrated step. The system also provides for those who want more detailed information like averages and other special features. All such options are provided in a separate mode called — the FEATURESMODE. The buttons on the instrument are only used for the additional features. Because the options of the FEATURES MODE take more time to learn than the use of the TESTINGMODE, we encourage you to go through the User Guide and decide what features are right for you to make your diabetes more manageable.
