Do not charge razor in pouch (model 4601X only). Before charging, set Voltage Selector to desired setting. To change voltage from 115V to 230V AC, slide switch found on bottom of razor to desired voltage. Connect cord to razor. Plug into any 120V to 240V AC outlet.Use only the cord provided.The green Indicator Light lights up to indicate razor is (re) charging. An adaptor plug may be necessary for cord usage in some foreign countries. 3 First time charging and recharging after non-use for 1 month or more requires a full 24 hours. Recharging (after initial 24 hour charge) requires 16 hours. 5. PUT IT TO THE TEST & SHAVING TIPS 21 Day Trial and Conversion process. It is a fact that your skin and beard need time to adjust to a new shaving system. Use your new razor exclusively for 3 weeks to fully enjoy the closeness of a Norelco shave.* At first you may not get as close a shave as you expect, or your face may even become slightly irritated.This is normal since your beard and skin will need time to adjust. HOW TO SHAVE WITH AN ELECTRIC RAZOR Shaving with dry skin gives the best results. 1 Turn razor ON by locking the switch to the “ON” position. Shave against the direction of beard growth using both straight and circular movements. 2 Stretch your skin with your free hand so blades can lift and cut whiskers. Gently press razor to skin, so the floating heads can follow the contours of your face. DO NOT press too hard. Too much pressure can pinch the skin into combs. 3 Turn razor OFF by locking the switch to the “OFF” position. 4 Put the protective razor head cap on the razor to protect razor heads. 5 Replace your Norelco Micro Action razor heads (model # HQ4) once a year for optimal shaving results. 6. TRIMMING To groom sideburns and moustache: 1 Turn razor ON by locking the switch to the “ON” position. 2 Push up Trimmer Slide Switch. 3 Hold Trimmer as shown and move in downward strokes with gentle pressure. 4 Close Trimmer by sliding Trimmer switch down. 5 Turn razor OFF by locking switch to the “OFF” position. CLEANING Once A Week: Razor 1 Turn razor OFF by locking switch to “OFF” position. 2 Clean the top of the razor with the supplied brush. 3 Remove Razor Head Assembly from the razor unit. 7. 4 Brush the inside of housing and Razor Head Assembly. 5 Replace the Razor Head Assembly back on razor. Every Two Months: Razor Heads Turn razor OFF by locking switch to “OFF” position and disconnect from outlet. Remove Razor Head Assembly from housing unit. 1 2 3 Brush the inside of the housing. 4 Turn Razor Head Assembly over so that the underside is exposed. 5 Press down and turn wheel of frame counterclockwise. 6 Remove the frame...
