The agents, dealers or employees of Bunn are not authorized to make modifications to this warranty or to make additional warranties that are binding on Bunn. Accordingly, statements by such individuals, whether oral or written, do not constitute warranties and should not be relied upon. The Buyer shall give Bunn prompt notice of any claim to be made under this warranty by telephone at (217) 529-6601 or by writing to Post Office Box 3227, Springfield, Illinois, 62708-3227. If requested by Bunn, the Buyer shall ship the defective equipment prepaid to an authorized Bunn service location. If Bunn determines, in its sole discretion, that the equipment does not conform to the warranty, Bunn shall repair the equipment with no charge for parts during the warranty period and no charge for labor by a Bunn Authorized Service Representative during the warranty period. If Bunn determines that repair is not feasible, Bunn shall, at its sole option, replace the equipment or refund the purchase price for the equipment. THE BUYER’S REMEDY AGAINST BUNN FOR THE BREACH OF ANY OBLIGATION ARISING OUT OF THE SALE OF THIS EQUIPMENT, WHETHER DERIVED FROM WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE, SHALL BE LIMITED, AS SPECIFIED HEREIN, TO REPAIR OR, AT BUNN’S SOLE OPTION, REPLACEMENT OR REFUND. PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD Keep Fingers & Foreign Objects out of Hopper or Chute Opening PLEASE DO NOT POUR GROUND COFFEE BACK INTO GRINDER 00986.0000 11076.0000 ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS This grinder has an attached cordset and requires 3-wire, grounded service rated 120/208-240 volts ac, 14 amp, 60 hz, single phase. The mating receptacle to the cordset connector is NEMA L14-20R. An electrician must provide electrical service and the proper mating receptacle as specified. Initial Set-Up CAUTION – Improper electrical installation will damage the grinder. 1. Set the grounds overflow tray on the shoulder screws at the front of the grinder. 2. Plug-in the grinder. OPERATING CONTROLS Off/On Lever OFF-(rear position) Switching to this position stops the grinder. ON-(front position) Switching to this position engages the bag holder and starts the grind cycle. Master Power Switch ON-(upper position) Enables the on/off lever to function OFF-(lower position) Stops grind cycle and disables the on/off lever Grind Selector Allows the user to vary the grind for each bag of coffee. Each setting will provide precisely the same grind every time it is selected. 10899 060100 3 GRIND ADJUSTMENT 1. Place an empty bag on the tray, with the back of bag behind the dispense chute. 2. Start the grinder to clean the grind chamber. Leave grinder "ON". 3. Turn the Grind Selector knob to the "O" (ESPRESSO) position. 4. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to loosen the two set screws located on the grind selector knob. 5. Hold the knob in the "O" position with one hand. 6. Using a large flat blade screwdriver, slowly turn the large adjusting screw in the center of the grind selector knob to the right (clockwise) until a metallic whine is heard. 7. While holding the knob in the "O" position, back off the screw to the left (counter clockwise) just until the metallic whine ceases. 8. Turn off the grinder. 9. Tighten one set screw in the grind selector knob. 10. Turn knob to the "2" position. 11. Holding the knob in the "2" position, loosen set screw tightened in step 9. 12. Holding a large flat blade screwdriver on the large adjusting screw to prevent it from turning, turn the knob back to the "O" (ESPRESSO) position, then tighten both set screws. CLEANING The use of a damp cloth rinsed in any mild, non-abrasive, liquid detergent is recommended for cleaning all surfaces on Bunn-O-Matic equipment. Regular cleaning will keep your grinder looking new for years.
