The Magnia SG30 can manage a Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) and IPSec VPN with authorized users. An IPSec VPN is certified only for client computers running Microsoft® Windows™ 2000 and Windows XP operating systems, PPTP VPNs can additionally support Windows NT, 95, 98 and ME. Toshiba has also created a setup program wizard the will configure client computers running Microsoft® Windows™ based operating systems to communicate over the Internet with the LAN through the VPN. The SG30 also has the ability to establish an SG30 to SG30 IPSec VPN. This will allow the creation of a secure tunnel between a remote location SG30 and the home office SG30 or between several small/medium offices equipped with SG30’s. The number of connections is limited only by your network configuration and the amount of traffic on the network. Remote Dial-In Access Users may dial in to the appliance server using the optional 56K modem to seamlessly interact from remote locations. The modem cannot be used for Internet access and Remote Dial-In Access at the same time. Digital Central Digital Photo Album Your Magnia SG30 includes an application to manage centrally stored digital pictures (JPEG) and digital videos. Video Camera Monitoring & Recording Your Magnia SG30 includes an application that provides the ability to view and record activity from digital video cameras (purchased separately). Once installed, you can view the video activity from these cameras on any computer within the Magnia SG30 network or from remote locations using the included VPN service. The Magnia SG30 can monitor and record up to four cameras. Digital Jukebox Your Magnia SG30 includes the capability to store and organize digital music (MP3 and WMA file formats). The Magnia SG30 can deliver music to: Any wired or wireless connected computer or supported Pocket PC device, as well as through the Voyetra® Turtle Beach® AudioTron™ (purchased separately) to your home stereo system. Upgrades or Optional 3rd-party Services Offerings Health Status Monitoring Toshiba can monitor your Magnia SG30 for non-standard operation and will contact the administrator in case action needs to be taken. Health Status Monitoring is available from Monday through Friday from 05:00 AM to 05:00 PM PST excluding holidays.
