o
VM’s can be migrated and started on any server with compatible GPU configuration
o
CUDA, OpenCL not supported at this time

Tips and tricks you need to know

Prior to XenServer 6.5, in order to use more than two cores per socket (allowing for 4 cores or more) on a virtual
machine, you must configure server from the command line to enable multiple cores per socket. Use the following
command for XenServer console to enable up to 4 cores per socket and set the virtual machine to use 4 cores at next
boot.

xe vm-param-set uuid= platform:cores-per-socket=4 VCPUs-max=8
VCPUs-at-startup=4

When connecting to a Citrix session in seamless mode using an end-client display configuration that is not supported
or that the client cannot configure, the session will look like it’s doing something for a few seconds and then
disappear with nothing happening.

WS460c Gen8 Systems may lose network configuration or console screens may be blank after installing Citrix
XenServer 6.1 Hotfix XS61E030 or installing or upgrading to Citrix XenServer 6.2 if not at system
BIOS version 9/20/2013 or newer. Please see the following document for more information:

XenServer 6.2 (before SP1) virtual machines (VMs) with NVIDIA GPUs passed-through that do not have any NVIDIA
GPU drivers installed can cause the XenServer RDP console to get locked at 640x480 resolution and 16-bit color
mode. Hotfix XS62E010 fixes this issue. Please see the following document for more information:
