When operating the appliance, keep fingers clear of the bowl (even when the appliance has been switched off, the drive continues rotating briefly). Change tools only when the appliance is at a standstill. 7 en • Attach bowl (5) and rotate as tar as possible in a clockwise direction. • Insert tool (7/8) as described in the appropriate section. For tool selection see “Recipes / Ingredients / Processing”. • Add ingredients as described in the appropriate section. For selection see “Recipes / Ingredients / Processing”. • Attach lid (6a) (arrow on the lid on the arrow on the handle) and rotate as tar as possible in a clockwise direction (lid lug in slot on base unit). • Select the desired setting with the rotary switch; see “Recipes / Ingredients / Processing”. The appliance cannot be switched on until the lid has been attached and locked in position. Chopping blade tor cutting, chopping, kneading. A Risk of injury from sharp blades! Grip the chopping blade by the plastic handle only (top end). • Insert the chopping blade (7a). • Add ingredients. • Attach the lid (6a) and push block (6c). • Select the desired setting with the rotary switch (1); see “Recipes / Ingredients / Processing”. • To add more ingredients, set the rotary switch to O. • Remove the push block (6c) and add ingredients through the retill opening (6b). Note: The longer the processing time, the smaller the tood is cut or chopped. Chopping disc tor cream, beaten white ot egg, milkshakes. • Insert chopping disc (7b). • Add ingredients. • Attach the lid (6a) and push block (6c). • Select the desired setting with the rotary switch (1); see “Recipes / Ingredients / Processing”. • To add more ingredients, select Setting 1 with the rotary switch. • Remove the push block (6c) and add ingredients through the retill opening (6b). Cutting discs Slicing disc (8b) e.g. tor slicing cucumbers, cabbage, beetroot, kohlrabi. Shredding disc (8c) e.g. tor shredding carrots, celery. Slicing and shredding disc (8d) tor shredding and slicing Chips cutting disc (8e) available trom specialist outlets; insert the disc correctly (see diagram) A Risk of injury from sharp blades! Grip the cutting discs by the plastic handle only. Warning! Blades may become blunt Do NOT use the cutting discs for hard cheese (Parmesan), nuts or horseradish. • Insert disc holder (8a). • Insert cutting disc (8b/8c/8d). The desired slicing / shredding side tace up. • Attach the lid (6a). • Select the desired setting with the rotary switch; see “Recipes / Ingredients / Processing”. • Add tood which is to be sliced or shredded (6b) and push down with the push block (6c), exerting a little pressure. • To add more ingredients, set the rotary switch to O. • Remove the push block (6c) and add ingredients through the retill opening (6b). Note: Most types ot tood are processed on Setting 1; only hard toods are processed on Setting 2. After processing • Set the rotary switch to O. • Rotate the lid as tar as possible in an anti-clockwise direction and remove. • Rotate the bowl as tar as possible in an anti-clockwise direction and remove. • Remove the tool. 8 en Troubleshooting Fault Appliance cannot be switched on. Cause Lid is not locked in position. Remedial action Correctly position the lid; see Fig. 6a “Switching on the appliance again.” It other faults occur, please consult our customer service. Cleaning and servicing the appliance A Risk of electric shock! NEVER immerse the base unit in water or place under running water. Warning! Surfaces may be damaged. Do NOT use abrasive cleaning agents. Cleaning the base unit • Pull out the mains plug. • Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth. If required, use a little detergent. Cleaning the bowl and accessories A Risk of injury from sharp blades! Grip the chopping blades and cutting discs by the plastic handle only. All parts are dishwasher-safe. Do NOT wedge plastic parts in the dishwasher as they could warp. Insert the chopping blades with the opening pointing downwards, ensuring that the blades do not damage any other parts. Shredding carrots, red cabbage or similar vegetables will cover the plastic parts in a red film which can be removed with a few drops ofcooking oil. Storage • Attach the bowl and accessories (Fig. 5). • Stow the cord (Fig. 2).
