These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. Safety Precautions In the Transmitter We recommend a RadioShack 9-volt alkaline battery. 1. Slide ON/OFF on the transmitter to OFF. 2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover, and then remove the cover. 3. Put the battery in the compartment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside. 4. Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screw. When the transmitter’s range decreases, replace its battery. Operation Sailing the Wakeboard Boat 1. Screw the antenna into the transmitter. For maximum range, hold the transmitter as high as possible with the antenna fully extended and pointing straight up. 2. Attach the wakeboards to the tower. 3. Rotate ON/OFF on the boat to ON, then put it in the water. 4. Slide ON/OFF on the transmitter to ON. The indicator on the transmitter lights. 5. Use the transmitter’s control levers to drive and steer the boat. In the Wakeboard Boat Before you use the 9.6-volt battery pack, you must charge it using a battery charger. Follow the charger’s directions to charge the battery pack. 1. To protect the propeller while you install the battery, place the Wakeboard Boat on the supplied stand. 2. Rotate ON/OFF on the top of the Wakeboard Boat to OFF. 3. Turn the latches (adjacent to the seats) on the battery compartment cover of the Wakeboard Boat counterclockwise until they stop, and then lift the seat to remove the cover. 4. Attach the battery pack’s connector to the Wakeboard Boat’s matching connector. Do not force them! They fit together only one way. 5. Carefully tuck the battery wire into the battery compartment. Then replace the seat and secure it by turning the latches clockwise until they stop. When the Wakeboard Boat moves slowly or not at all, change the 9.6V battery pack or recharge it according to the battery charger’s instructions. O BATTERY NOTES O ON/OFF • Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. • Do not burn or bury batteries. • Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type. Use only the recommended battery pack and charger. • If you do not plan to use the boat for ten days or longer, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts. • Do not charge or recharge the battery while it is in the boat. • Do not overcharge the battery. Overcharging the battery pack might damage it. • Do not recharge a battery pack immediately • Any batteries purchased for use in this toy may pose a hazard to children. Please check safety notice supplied with batteries before use. • NEVER touch the propellers while they are spinning, and never put your fingers near the propellers when ON/OFF is set to ON. • When the Wakeboard Boat goes outside the transmitter’s control range, it stops.
