It supplies power to the unit and to any switched AC outlets. When the switch is ON the cassette holder light will be illuminated. 2 ~ 7. CASSETTE TRANSPORT CONTROL BUTTONS 2. STOP/EJECT BUTTON ( ■ ) Functions in two steps. One light push will disengage (STOP) any mode of tape motion, except the PAUSE button. Another push will open (EJECT) the cassette trap door for insertion or removal of a tape. When all other buttons (with the exception of the PAUSE button) are at their unused positions, depressing this button will only eject the tape. 3. RECORD BUTTON ( • ) Allows you to activate the record mechanism and must be depressed simultaneously with the PLAY button in order to start the tape in motion when recording. Please read "ACCIDENTAL ERASURE PROTECTION" section in this manual before the first operation. 4. REWIND/REVIEW BUTTON ( 44 > Depress this button to rapidly return the tape in the direction of the arrows. To protect the tape, this function will automatically disengage when the tape is fully wound onto the supply reel. Depressing the button continuously (it will not be locked) during the PLAY mode acts a review function, and is convenient for locating the beginning of any previous program in the tape. 5. PLAY BUTTON ( f ) Depress this button when you wish to play a previously recorded tape. When recording a tape, depress the button together and simultaneously with the RECORD button. The autostop mechanism will automatically disengage the button once the tape is fully taken up by the take-up reel. 6. FAST FORWARD/CUE BUTTON ( ►► ) Depress this button to rapidly advance the tape in the direction of the arrows. To protect the tape, this function will automatically disengage when the tape is fully wound onto the take-up reel. When used together during the play mode, this function is convenient for cueing the beginning of any subsequent program in the tape. Keep depressing the button until you locate a desired silent passage between high pitch sound. 7. PAUSE BUTTON (||) Used in conjunction with the PLAY or RECORD button. When depressed, this button will interrupt the motion of the tape while playing or recording without affecting the position of the PLAY or RECORD button. Push again to release. Note the PAUSE button will not be released by the STOP/ EJECT button. -m- ANGABEN ZUR VORDERSEITE 1. NETZSCHALTER Uebet die durch seinen Namen angedeutete Funktion aus. Er liefert Strom an das Gerät und an die daran angebrachten schaltbaren Wechselstrom-Steckdosen. Beim Einschalten des Netzschalters wird auch die Beleuchtung des Kassettengeräts aktiviert. 2.~ 7. BANDLAUFREGLER 2. STOP/AUSWURF TASTE ( ■ ) Funktioniert in zwei Stufen. Ein leichter Druck beendet jede Art von Bandbewegung, ausser den PAUSE-Schalter. Ein zweiter Druck öffnet die Oeffnungsklappe zum Einsetzen oder Entfernen des Bandes. Wenn alle anderen Tasten (mit Ausnahme der PAUSE-Tast) in uneingeschalteter Stellung stehen, wird bei Druck auf diese Taste nur das Band ausgeworfen. 3. AUFNAHME TASTE ( • ) Schaltet den Aufnahmemechanismus ein und muss gleichzeitig mit der VORLAUF-Taste gedrückt werden, um das Band zum Aufnehmen in Bewegung zu setzen. Lesen Sie bitte unter: SCHUTZ GEGEN UNBEABSICHTIGTES LÖSCHEN, bevor Sie mit dem Aufnahmebetrieb beginnen. 4. RÜCKSPUL-PRÜFTASTE ( ^ ) Wenn diese Taste gedrückt wird, spult das Band mit hoher Geschwindigkeit in Pfeilrichtung zurück. Damit das Band nicht abgenützt wird, rastet die Abschaltvorrichtung die Taste automatisch aus, wenn sich die gesamte Bandlänge auf der Vorratsspule befindet. Wird die Rückspul-Taste anhaltend gedrückt (sie wird nicht gesperrt) während des Abspielens, hat die Taste Prüffunktion; d.h., der Beginn jedes beliebigen Programms kann nachgeprüft werden. 5. VOR LAUF-TASTE ( ► > Diese Taste wird gedrückt, wenn Sie ein bereits bespieltes Band abspielen wollen. Zum Aufnehmen eines Bandes wird diese Taste zusammen und gleichzeitign mit der AUFNAHME-Taste gedrückt. Die Abschaltvorrichtung wird die Taste automatisch ausrasten, sobald sich die gesamte Bandlänge auf der Aufwickelspule befindet. 6. SCHELLVORLAUF-/CUE-TASTE ( ►► ) Wenn diese Taste gedrückt wird, spult das Band mit hoher Geschwindigkeit in Pfeilrichtung vorwärts. Damit das Band nicht abgenützt wird, rastet die Abschaltvorrichtung die Taste automatisch aus, sobald sich die gesamte Bandlänge auf der Aufwickelspule befindet.
