The frequency will be shown in the dial scale window. • Rotate VOLUME regulator to adjust the volume level. • To turn off the radio set the mode switch to TAPE (OFF) position. FM stereo reception If you want to receive FM stereo signal, set the band switch to FM ST position. The FM stereo indicator will light. If stereo signal is too week select FM mode, the signal will be received in mono mode, but the background noise will be reduced. Antenna • For FM reception, adjust the telescopic antenna appropriately to obtain the best reception on the band selected. • The AM signal is picked up through the built-in ferrite antenna. The set should be placed to a proper position for the best reception. Compact disc operations_ • Set the function switch to CD/MP3/USB position. • Press OPEN button to open the disc compartment door. • Put a disc into the disc compartment with label side up and close the disc compartment door by pulling it down gently. Play/pause mode • When you insert a disc, the total number of tracks contained will be displayed. Press PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback. The number of current track will be displayed. • Press PLAY/PAUSE button to pause at any track when playing. Press this button again to resume playback. • To stop the disc, press STOP button. This will reset the disc to the first track. • To remove the disc from the unit open the disc compartment by pressing OPEN button. • Always press STOP button before opening the disc compartment door. Skip and search mode • Press NEXT/UP button once to skip to the next track. Press and hold this button to search for a particular point at high-speed forward. Release the button to resume normal play. 4 • Press PREVIOUS/DOWN button once to skip back to the beginning of the previous track. Press and hold this button to search for a particular point at high speed backward. Release the button to resume normal play. • Press FOLDER+ button to play every 10th track on disc. If your disc contains folders, press and hold this button to select the next folder. Playback modes • Press MODE button repeatedly to switch between different playback modes. • During playing the mode will change as below: - For CD playback: Repeat current track => Repeat all tracks => Normal playback. - For MP3/WMA playback: Repeat current track => Repeat current folder => Repeat all tracks => Normal playback. Program mode Up to 99 MP3 tracks or 20 CD tracks can be programmed for disc play in any order. • Before use, be sure to stop the disc by pressing STOP button. • Press MODE button. The set is now in memory programming mode, at the first memory position. "PROGRAM" will be blinking on the display. • Select a desired track by using NEXT/UP and PREVIOUS/DOWN buttons. • Press MODE button. The set will advance to next memory position. • Repeat the 2 last steps described above to enter additional memories into the program if necessary. • After a maximum of 99 MP3 tracks or 20 CD tracks (or less) have been selected as described above, press PLAY/PAUSE button to start playing the programmed tracks. "PROGRAM" will be shown on the display. • Use NEXT/UP and PREVIOUS/DOWN buttons to skip to the previous or next programmed track. The program memory will be cleared when you press STOP button or turn off the CD-player or power supply. Note: Good quality sound is guaranteed only when playing licensed discs. USB/SD/MMC operation_ This unit is equipped with a USB socket compatible with USB drives of 1.1 and 2.0 versions up to 8 Gbs. The unit also can play files contained in SD/MMC memory cards up to 8 Gbs. • Remove the disc from the disc compartment and close the compartment door. Insert a USB or an SD/MMC card into the corresponding slot. Set the function switch to CD/MP3/USB position. 5 • If there is a disc and a USB/memory card in the unit at the same time, the unit will start reading the disc by default. Press and hold PLAY/PAUSE button repeatedly to select between the storages in the following order: DISC => USB => SD/MMC. • All the operations with files contained in USB or SD/MMC are the same as MP3 operations. Note: Never remove USB or SD/MMC storage from the slot while playback. Always stop playback before unplugging the storage. Never use a USB extension cable to connect a USB to the unit. Cassette tape playback_ • Slide the function switch to TAPE (OFF) position. • Press STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette door. • Insert a cassette with the tape-side up into the proper Guide-rails on the inside of the cassette door. • Gently push the cassette door inwards to close it. • Press PLAY button to start the playing. • Adjust the level of sound with VOLUME knob. Cassette controls • Press PAUSE button to pause the playing. • Press REW button to rewind the cassette. Press F.FWD button to fast-forward the cassette.
