Self-cleaning surface in the cooking compartment The back panel of the oven is coated with self-cleaning enamel. It cleans itself while the oven is in operation. Sometimes, larger splashes of food may not disappear until the oven has been operated several times. Notes ¦ Never treat the self-cleaning surface with oven cleaner. If oven cleaner accidentally gets onto the rear wall, remove it immediately with a sponge and plenty of water. ¦ Never use abrasive cleaning agents. You will scratch or destroy the highly porous coating. ¦ Never clean the self-cleaning surface with a scouring pad. ¦ Light discolouration of the enamel does not affect self- cleaning. Cleaning the cooking compartment floor, ceiling and side walls Use a dish cloth and hot soapy water or a vinegar solution. It is best to use oven cleaner if there are very heavy deposits of dirt.
