Then carefully fit the blade (4), with the cutting side on the outermost part. Figure 1. Be sure that the blade is fitted properly, otherwise it could damage the grinder. 2) Fit a grinder screen (3) and put the notch over the pin using the spanner (1). Figure 2. 3) Note: Use the fine screen for raw meat, fish, small nuts or cooked meat. Use the medium and coarse screens for raw meat, fish, nuts, vegetables, hard cheese and peeled or dried fruit. 4) Loosely fit the ring nut (2). Figure 3. 2) Hold the catch back and insert the grinder. Turn it from side-to side until it locks into place. Figure 3 3) Tighten the ring nut manually. 4) Fit the tray (7) and put the dish / cover (10) under the grinder to catch the food. 5) Note: Thaw frozen food thoroughly before mincing. Cut meat into 1-inch strips. 6) Switch the stand mixer to speed 4. Using the stomper (8), gently push the food through, one piece at a time. Do not push too hard, you could damage the grinder. Sausage Adapater Parts A) Base Plate Operating Your Sausage Adapter 1) Note: If you are using skin, soak it in cold water for 30 minutes first. 2) Pull the catch and remove the low-speed outlet cover. 3) Hold the catch back and insert the grinder body. Turn it back and forth until it locks into place. Operating Your Sausage Adapter (con’t) 4) Fit the scroll inside the grinder body. 5) Fit the base plate, and put the notch over the pin. 6) Note: If you are using skin, open it up with a jet of water. Then put your chosen nozzle under running water and pull the skin onto the nozzle. 7) Hold the nozzle on the grinder and screw the ring nut on. 8) Fit the tray. 9) Switch the stand mixer speed to 3 or 4. Using the stomper, push the food through. Note: Do not push too hard, you could damage the grinder. 10)Ease the skin off the nozzle as it fills. Do not overfill. Twist the skin to form sausages. Care and Cleaning for Your Food Grinder 1) Loosen the ring nut manually or with the spanner and dismantle. 2) Wash all of the parts in warm water with mild detergent, and then rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not place the parts in your dishwasher. 3) Reassemble the parts. 4) Wipe the screens with vegetable oil, then wrap in grease-proof paper to prevent discoloring. 5) If you keep the grinder on the machine, put the dish / cover on the tray as a dust cover. 6) You can pull the lid off the stomper and store the sausage adaptor and its attachments inside. GRAIN MILL (Model A941) IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS For Your Grain Mill 1) Check hopper for presence of foreign objects before using. Add the milling ring (4). 2) Place the milling cone (5) in position. And then add the adjusting control (6), ensuring that the slot fits into the groove at the bottom of the grain mill body. Assembling Your Grain Mill (continued) 3) Place the ring nut (7) in position and tighten. Then place the hopper (1) in position. 4) The assembly and location of your attachment onto the mixer is easier if the fine setting has been selected on the grain mill. 5) Remove the low-speed outlet cover from the stand mixer by pulling the locking catch to the side. 6) Slide the grain mill into the outlet, turning it slightly so that the shaft engages in the socket with the pin located in the slot. 7) Release the catch to lock. Operating Your Grain Mill 1) Fill the hopper with grains, a maximum of 750 grams - 1 kg can be accommodated depending upon the grain. 2) Select the desired grain size by turning the adjusting control to the left (counterclockwise) for a finer result, and to the right (clockwise) for a coarser result. 3) The adjusting control will revolve continuously passing through the various grain sizes (fine, medium, and coarse) and it is marked 1 to 6 in order for ease of reference, and a finer subdivision. 4) If the control becomes stiff when adjusting from Fine to Coarse, the front of the indicating knob should be pressed inwards while continuing to turn the control to a finer position. 5) Once the desired setting is selected, switch the mixer to maximum speed ensuring that there is a collecting dish below the grain mill outlet.
