To prevent that, replace the battery. AC ADAPTOR (OPTION) •Be sure to keep the batteries securely connected even while using the AC Adaptor. *Even if AC Adaptor cord comes out during performance, the OC-2 will continue to operate if the battery is connected. •Keep the plug off the INPUT JACK when the OC-2 is not in use. BOSS ACA-120 BOSS ACA-240 FOR 117V AC FOR 240V AC INTRODUCTION The OC-2 is a low-noise type octaver that can produce the notes one ocatve lower and two ocatves lower than direct sounds. The OC-2 enables you to extract the notes one octave lower and two octaves lower, then spontaniously mix these two types of sounds with a direct sound at the levels you desire. Therefore you can create various kinds of sounds such as a heavy powerful sound, bass sound and octave unison sound. Moreover, these processed signals perfectly follow the envelope of the direct sound, which makes it easy to create a realistic bass sound. Besides, the OC-2 runs with a small power consumption and allows an exceptionally stable operation. NAME AND FUNCTIONS Use the BOSS AC Adaptor to obtain satisfactory AC operation. AC 8> BATTERY POWERED OCTAVE 1 This knob adjusts the volume of the sound one octave lower than a direct sound. Turn it clockwise to increase the volume and counterclockwise to decrease. OCTAVE 2 This knob adjusts the volume of the sound 2 octaves lower. Turn it clockwise to increase the volume and counterclockwise to decrease. DIRECT LEVEL This knob adjusts the volume of the normal sound with an effect. INPUT JACK Connect the plug to this INPUT jack to turn the OC-2 on. Keep the plug off while the OC-2 is not in use. OUTPUT JACK The OC-2 generates low noise and hum as a result of its low impedance output to the amplifiers. BATTERY ELIMINATOR JACK Connect the BOSS AC Adaptor to this jack. INDICATOR By the LED indicator you can see whether the unit is on or off, and also check the battery. •Replace with a new battery if the indicator becomes dimmer or fails to light. PEDAL SWITCH Due to the unique FET switching system, the OC-2 does not make a click or a pop noise. THUMB SCREW Do not remove the screw from the unit when replacing the battery. NOTE ■"Use the BOSS AC Adaptor for AC operation. * Avoid using the OC-2 in exessive heat or humidity, or where it may be affected by dust.
