By use of AC power, BF-1 guarantees your performance at stable tone for hours. MANUAL CONTROL This knob controls the delay time of sound. The time becomes shorter when turned clockwise (O) and longer when turned counterclockwise {Oh The time can be varied between 0.5mS and 16mS. At full clockwise position . . 0.5mS At Center..............3mS At full counterclockwise position...............16mS DEPTH CONTROL This knob controls the sweep range with the delay time set with Manual Control as the center. The sweep range becomes wider when turned clockwise (O) and narrower, counterclockwise (O). * At full clockwise (O) position, the Manual Control does not operate. INSTRUMENT JACK This input jack receives output from guitar, synthesizer, electronic piano and others. OUTPUT JACK This jack feeds effected output to amplifier, mixer, etc. RESONANCE CONTROL This knob controls resonance. It becomes intensified when turned clockwise (O), and reduced, counterclockwise (O). The sound unique to flanger becomes more emphasized the more this knob is turned clockwise (O). A limited frequency range is emphasized to create specific sound spectrum. RATE CONTROL This knob controls the sweep rate. When turned clockwise (D), it becomes faster, counterclockwise (O), slower. At full clockwise position . . 100mS At full counterclockwise position...............20S EFFECT/NORMAL SWITCH Simply treading this switch, changeover between Effect and Normal is accomplished. To change from normal sound to effect sound, tread the switch once. To turn back to normal sound, tread the switch again. AC ADAPTOR JACK (DC-9V) Connect BOSS AC adaptor to this jack to supply power. BEFORE USING BF-1 • Avoid using BF-1 in very dusty location, or under high temperature or humidity conditions.
