Depth, Rate and Resonance, various flanging effects can be created. • By setting the Depth to MIN, a short delay like effect can be obtained. r ■ PANEL DESCRIPTION o CHECK INDICATOR By the LED indicator, you can see wheiher the effect is on or off. This indicator also serves as battery check. " If the indicator fails to light or lights but only dimly, replace the battery with a new one. Q MANUAL KNOB This knob sets the center frequency of the flanging effect. Rotating it clockwise increases Ihe frequency and counterclockwise rotation gives the opposite result Q DEPTH KNOB Tilts knob sets the maximum range ol Ihe flanging frequency altered from that set with the Manual Knob Q Rotating the knob clockwise widens the range and the counterclockwise rotation gives the opposite result. o OUTPUT JACK Connect Em amplifier or other effect to Ihis jack 0 PEDAL SWITCH This turns on or off ihe effect * Adopting the FET switching system, this Pedal Switch is free from the click noise, therefore, even more successful live performance and siudio recording are made possible. o AC ADAPTOR JACK This is lo connect the AC adaptor (BOSS ACA-1 20. 220 or 240). ’ AC operation allows long and secured performance o RESONANCE KNOB This adjusts the amount of the feedback Rotating the knob clockwise emphasizes the flanging effect and counterclockwise rotation gives Ihe opposite result * As you rotate the knob clockwise, the unit may start oscillating o RATE KNOB This adjusts the rate of the Hanging effect Rotating it clockwise quickens the effect, and counterclockwise rotation gives the opposite result © INPUT JACK To this jack, connect an electric 01 electronic musical instrument such as a bass guitar * The unit is turned on when the plug is connected to the Input Jack So. when the unit is not to be used, disconnect the connection cord from the Input Jack © THUMB SCREW Loosen this screw when replacing Ihe battery ' Do not remove Ihe screw from Ihe Pedal ■ IMPORTANT NOTES • Use only the BOSS AC adaptor ACA 120, 220 or 240 depending on the voltage system m your country • Do noi use this unit tn extreme heat, humidity, or where it may be affected by dust CONNECTIONS To AC Adaptor Jack BOSS AC Adaptor (ACA-120. 220 or 240» Plugging in the Input Jack automatically turns the unit on. ^ When the unit is not to be used, disconnect the connection cord from the Input Jack J ■ OPERATION After making all the necessary connections, set the knobs as shown in the picture. Press the Pedal Switch down, and make sure that the indicator 0 lights up (effect is on). ’ If the indicator fails to light up or Iighls only dimly, replace the battery with a new one RATE Set the rate ol Ihe flanging efiecl with the Rale Knob 0 DEPTH Set the maximum range of the Hanging effect with Ihe Depth Knob 0. ■ BATTERY REPLACEMENT USE 9V BATTERY © Loosen Ihe Thumb Screw and open the Pedal (2) Take ou! the baitery from the Battery Housing and puli up the Battery Snap Cord (3) Connect a new baitery to Ihe Batlery Snap Coid and replace it to the Batlery Housing, * Be sure that the Baitery Snap Cord is securely pushed in (4) Put the Coil Spring to the Spring Base and close the Pedal * Make sure that the Battery Snap Cord is not caught in the Pedal or Coi) Spring (5) firmly tighten the screw Pedal 9V Battery Battery Snap Thumb Screw Spring Base Coil Spring Battery Housing Battery Snap Cord PRECAUTIONS AC ADAPTOR When the unit is not lo be used foi a tony period, remove the battery to preveni the trouble caused by the battery leakage. If the battery voltage drops, effect becomes inferior or no sound is produced.
