In Step 1, we'll show you how to use the CD-2's built-in microphone to record a performance to CompactFlash. Then, in Step 2, we'll show you how to write your recorded performance to a CD. J "The recorded sound is affected by where the CD-2 is placed in relation to the sound source. Try placing the CD-2 in different locations to achieve the desired sound quality. STEP I Let’s Record to CompactFlash Media to Prepare POWER Press 0 on the rear panel to turn on the power. £ ROLAND I Insert the CompactFlash card into the card slot on the left side panel. The button’s light blinks red, indicating that the CD-2 is standing by for recording. Blinks red ►/ii Press on the CompactFlash side. The CD-2 starts recording. Begin your performance. These buttons are lit during recording. Press on the CompactFlash side. The CD-2 stops recording. The button's lights go out when recording is stopped. Let’s listen to the recorded performance 1 Press O O to select the desired song. Press ►/ii on the CompactFlash side to start and stop playback. * To record additional performances, repeat Steps 3-6. Once you've finished recording, proceed to the other side of this sheet to learn how to write a CD. M ► Firmly insert the card all the way.
