This indicator also serves as battery check. * If the indicator fails to light or lights but only dimly, replace the battery with a new one. e LEVEL KNOB This adjusts the level of the effect sound. Rotating this knob clockwiswe increases the amount of the effect sound, and vice versa. 0 TONE KNOB This knob controls the tone of the sound. Rotating this clockwise emphasizes the higher frequencies, creating sharper sound, and counterclockwise rotation cuts the higher frequencies, creating softer sound. o OUTPUT JACK Connect an amplifier or other effect to this jack. 0 PEDAL SWITCH This turns on or off the effect. * Adopting the FET switching system, this Pedal Switch is released from the click noise, therefore, even more successful live performance and studio recording are made possible. 0 AC ADAPTOR JACK This is to connect the AC adaptor (BOSS ACA-120, 220 or 240). * AC operation allows long and secured performance. o THRESHOLD KNOB This adjusts the threshold level. Rotating the knob clockwise raises the threshold level, lowering the.limit-ing effect. Rotating it counterclockwise lowers the level, raising the limiting effect. 0 RELEASE KNOB This adjusts the release time. Rotating the knob clockwise makes longer release time, and vice versa. o INPUT JACK To this jack, connect an electric or electronic musical instrument such as a bass guitar. * The unit is turned on when the plug is connected to the Input Jack. So, when the unit is not to be used, disconnect the connection cord from the Input Jack. ® THUMB SCREW Loosen this screw when replacing the battery. * Do not remove the screw from the Pedal. ■ IMPORTANT NOTES • Use only the BOSS AC adaptor ACA 120, 220 or 240 depending on the voltage system in your country. • Do not use this unit in extreme heat, humidity, or where it may be affected by dust. ooOOOO °o Bass Amplifier To AC Adaptor Jack BOSS AC Adaptor (ACA-120, 220 or 240) --Î L.* LJ ♦•OUTPUT INPUT 4- Limiter Lm-2 cn—■ !<*=■ •ot=m Bass Guitar Plugging in the Input Jack automatically turns the unit on. ffl Keyboard ("When the unit is not to be used, disconnect the connection cord from the Input Jack. ■ OPERATION CHECK O THRESHOLD TONE RELEASE | After making all the necessary connections, set the knobs as shown in the picture.
