GAIN Knob Used lo control Ihe amount of distortion generated hy the amplifier. Rotating it clockwise increases the distortion. VOLUME Knob This adjusts Ihe volume of the amplifier. Rotating it clockwise increases Ihe volume. The distortion of the guilar sound is altered by adjusting the Gain Knob and Volume Knob. For example, lo obtain a clean sound, lower ihe Gain Knob and raise the Volume Knob. On the other hand, lo create a distorted sound, raise the Gain Knob anil lower the Volume Knob. The TM-7 has three volume controls - you can adjust the distortion with the Gain and Volume Knobs, and adjust the volume of Ihe guitar sound with the Master Knob. GUITAR AMP SIMULATOR This is a full-scale guitar amplifier simulator that features three volume and three tone controls. While the unii is on, the Power Indicator will be lighted. SEND/RETURN Jacks Connect an external effects unii to these jacks. Once an effects unit has been connected, the guitar sound will be output after passing through the external effect, so you can enjoy the guitar sound with the external effect applied to it. Since the returns support stereo, effects units providing stereo output can be enjoyed to the full. SEND Jack Connect an external effect to this output jack. Connect this jack to the input jack on the external etYect. RETURN Jacks L(MONO)/R These input jacks are used tor connecting with an external effects unit. Connect the output jacks on the externa) effect to these jacks. If the external effect provides only monaural output, connect to UMONO). * The external effects unit connected to the Send/Return jacks on the TM-7 is connected to the output from the Guitar Amplifier Simulator. * Connecting an effect to the TM-7 may cause a change in the degree of distortion obtained. If so, rotate the Master Knob counterclockwise to lower the output level of the signal sent from the Send jack. AC Adaptor Jack Connect the optional AC adaptor (BOSS PSA Series) to this jack. By using an AC adaptor, you are treed from worry about the battery wearing out, and can continue to use the unit for as long as you want. * Even when using the AC adaptor, keep the battery inserted in the TM-7. This way, the unit will continue to operate on battery power even if the AC adaptor is disconnected by mistake. * Be sure to use only the specified adaptor (PSA Series; depending on the voltage system in your country). Using any other adaptor can cause malfunction or damage. Ifyou are not going to use the unit for an extended period of time, be sure to remove the AC adaptor from the wall socket. LINE IN Jacks t/R Connect an audio source such as a cassette player or CO player to these jacks {RCA phono type}.
