[3]Set the Mode Switch Q to the Guitar or Bass position. So, first tune the strings roughly so that the meter may swing, then make tine tuning. To tune an acoustic guitar/bass You can tune an acoustic guitar/bass in the same way as an electric guitar/bass. Play your guitar close to the Microphone 0 [ Changing the Standard Pitch ] The standard pitch A is set to 440Hz on the TU-6, but you can tune a guitar to a pitch other than 440Hz in the following method. For example, to set the standard pitch A to 444Hz, tune all the strings so that the meter indicates as shown right. ■ BATTERY CHECK Set the Power Switch ©to the ”BATT" position, and if the Meter does not reach the BATT section, the battery is exhausted and the Meter indication is inaccurate. Please replace the battery with a new one, [ Battery Replacement ] [TjSlide the battery cover at the bottom of the unit to open it. [UTake out the battery and disconnect the from the battery snap cord. ©Connect a new battery to the battery snap cord with a correct polarity ( -f- and — ) of the battery. GO Put the battery in the battery housing and replace the battery cover securely. ■ IMPORTANT NOTES 9 When the tuner is connected to a unit teatturing a tuner output jack.noise may be heard from the unit. Please switch the tuner off when it is not being used. • if the tuner is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the battery from the battery housing to prevent the trouble caused by battery leakage. 0 Do not subject the unit to temperature extremes (eg. direct sunlight in an enclosed vehicle). Avoid using or storing the unit in dusty or humid areas or areas that are subject to high vibration levels. 9 For everyday cleaning wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth (or one that has been slightly dampened with water). To remove stubborn dirt, use a mild neutral detergent. Afterwards, be sure to wipe the unit thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth. 0 Never use benzene, thinners, alcohol or solvents of any kind, to avoid the risk of discoloration and/or deformation. 0 Protect the unit from strong impact. 0 Never strike or apply strong pressure to the display. 0 Should a malfunction occur (or if you suspect there is a problem) discontinue use immediately.
