The indicator above the main switch lights up. The grill is ready. To switch off: touch the l symbol until the indicator above the main switch goes out. The grill is switched off. The residual heat indicator remains on until the grill has cooled down sufficiently. Note The grill switches off automatically if the grill setting has been set to 0 for more than 20 seconds. Setting the grill Set the required grill setting on the control panel. grill setting 1 = lowest setting grill setting 9 = highest setting To select a grill setting 1. Switch on the grill by the main switch. 0 lights up on the grill setting display. 2. Touch the control panels + or -to select the desired grill setting. The grill heats up. During the preheating time a spot appears above the K symbol. To change a grill setting Set the desired grill setting on the control panel. To switch off the grill Set to 0 on the control panel. Preheating the grill Wait until the grill has heated up before placing the food on the grill. The preheating symbol goes off. During preheating the grill heats up on full power. After the grill has heated up, the set temperature is regulated automatically which switches the grill heating element on and off. The preheating time is between 8 and 10 minutes depending on the selected grill setting. Safety switch-off The safety switch-off function switches off the grill heating element when overheating. F and 4flash alternately on the display. Wait until the grill has cooled down sufficiently. Then touch any control panel. You can make new settings. Automatic time limit If the grill is in use for a long time without the setting being changed, the automatic time limit is activated. The grill stops heating. Fand 8 flash alternately on the display. Remove the lava stone container. 2. Pour in approx. 0.7 litres of water up to the lower marking. 3. Remove the lava stones from their packaging and pour them into the lava stone container. Dripping fat may flare up briefly. Water level When grilling, always monitor the water level in the grill trough and, if required, add more water up to the lower marking. Caution, risk of scalding! Draining the water In the event that the water is still hot when drained, add some cold water to the container to cool it! Changing the lava stones The lava stones absorb any fat which drips from the grill. When the stones become dark, this means that they are saturated and must then be replaced. You can obtain suitable lava stones from your specialist dealer or our after-sales service. Grilling over the water bath When grilling over the water bath the rising steam will keep grilled meat juicy and tender. 1. Remove the grid iron and tilt up the grill heating element. Remove the lava stone container. 2. Pour in approx. 2.5 litres of water up to the upper marking. 3. Tilt down the grill heating element and put on the grid iron. 4. Select the heat setting according to the settings table. Preheat the grill according to the settings table. Then you can put on the food to be grilled.
