Note: Only use recommended Dishwasher salt or granular salt. DO NOT use everyday table salt, cooking salt or road salt as they contain insoluble substances which could harm the Dishwasher. How the salt works: While washing is taking place, salt is automatically rinsed out of the salt container into the water softener where it dissolves the lime in the water. The dissolved lime is pumped out of the dishwasher. The water softener system is then ready for the next load. This process of regeneration can only function when the salt is dissolved in water. . You should fill just before starting the programme. . Unscrew the lid of the salt container. Before using the dishwasher for the first time, pour approximately 1 litre of water into the salt container. . Use the supplied funnel to fill salt to the top of the container (maximum of 1.5kg).
