You can see that the group you selected is added to the Registrations Group panel. This group will be displayed on the Dashboard. You can now see the Group Summary on the Dashboard. I am a system manager/I am a technician. 4.Devices Group / List overview Devices Groups Customized groups •All : displays all the devices in the system. •Ungrouped : displays the devices, that are not assigned to any group. A device is moved from Ungrouped to Grouped after it has been assigned to at least one group. •Grouped : displays the devices, that are in at least one group. 1.Click the button on the bottom of the Customized groups panel. A window appears. If you want to create a group with options, check and configure the criteria (See "Filtering" on page 34, "Using customized group with options" on page 40). Automatic groups •Model groups : devices are categorized by model. •Consumables groups : devices are categorized by Color and Mono. Group Summary Main Device List •Columns management : Columns in the Device List contain device information and properties. You can also customize the column header (See "Column header" on page 30). Most of the properties displayed in these columns are obtained by queries to the devices themselves while the Local column header is specific to SyncThru™ Admin 5. •Column header : For every column header, there’s a hidden arrow. The arrow shows when you place the mouse cursor over the column. You can use the drop-down menu to sort items (See "Sorting" on page 33) or choose which columns to display by selecting Custom. •Display Devices from Subgroups : You can see this option just below the Device List. By default, this option is enabled, which means you can see all the devices including the subgroups’ members. If you do not want to see the devices from subgroups, you can uncheck the option. If you uncheck the option as shown below, the Device List displays a different total number of devices from the number in the group list because the current Device List displays only the members of the selected group. In the below figure, when R&D group is selected and ‘Display device from subgroups’ option is unchecked, the Device List for ‘R&D’ group displays devices except the members of the subgroup of the R&D group – R&D group. If you check the option again, you can see the same total number of devices within the group list and the Device List. •Export to CSV : If you want to make the Device List into a file, you can export the device list by clicking the Export to CSV button located below the header.
