To open the jets, turn the rims counterclockwise; to close the jets, turn the rims clockwise. If no air flows through the jets, turn the jets counterclockwise. Close the jets to increase the water pressure to other jets. B. The adjustable, pulsing jet produces a soothing, pulsing massage action. To open the jet, turn the rim counterclockwise; to close the jet, turn the rim clockwise. C. The large rotary jet features two jets of water that provide a pulsing, spinning massage action. Turn the jet counterclockwise to open it or clockwise to close it. D. The four whirly jets provide a continuous whirling massage action. E. The three small adjustable, directional jets can be pivoted to direct their water flow. Turn the rims of the jets to open and close them. F. The two fixed jets are always on. G. An optional ozone generator can be purchased and installed to utilize the ozone jet. Ozone provides a way to help sanitize the spa with minimal chemical treatment. H. The skimmer cleans the surface of the water. I. The temperature probe monitors water temperature. J. The underwater light can be used for night operation (see USING THE CONTROLS on page 12). K. The two suction vents near the floor of the spa bring water into the pumps in order to operate the system. Never operate the spa without the suction covers in place. L, M. The air controls determine the amount of air flowing through the indicated jets during operation (see USING THE CONTROLS on page 12). N. The filter can be removed for cleaning or replacement (see CHECKING AND CLEANING THE FILTER on page 13). O. The console controls the jets, turns the underwater light on and off, and adjusts the water temperature setting (see USING THE CONTROLS on page 12). P. The three pillows can be removed or turned 180° to provide two positions of comfort. 11 Spa Shell Diagram K K G F H C A P P P B A A A E O N M L D J I 12 Using the Controls Refer to the diagram above. The function of each control is explained below: Jet Button: Turns the spa jets on and off. This is a two-speed button. If the button is pressed once, the spa jets will run at low speed, providing gentle hydrotherapy. If the button is pressed twice, the spa jets will run at high speed, providing moderate-pressure hydrotherapy. If the button is pressed again, the jets will shut off. The spa also features an automatic mode that heats and filters the water when the spa is left unattended. When the power to the spa is first turned on, or if the water temperature is below the set temperature, the water will be heated as required to maintain the set temperature. Note: To keep the filter and heat cycles from running, the power to the spa must be turned off. Light Button: Turns the underwater light on and off. Temperature Buttons: Control the temperature setting of the water. The temperature can be set between 80°F and 104°F. The water heats at about 6°F per hour with the cover on. Use a medical or other accurate thermometer to check the temperature of the water. Note: The word “COOL” will appear in the console display if the temperature of the water is more than 20°F cooler than the set temperature. When this happens, the heater will automatically activate to warm the water. The word “ICE” will appear in the display if the temperature drops below 40°F. If this happens, the pump will automatically circulate the water and warm the plumbing to keep the water from freezing. Air Controls: Determine the amount of air flowing through the spa jets during operation. Refer to the diagram below. Air control M controls air flow to the jets labeled M. Air control L controls air flow to the jets labeled L. If the control is turned counterclockwise, the amount of air flowing through the jets will increase. If the control is turned clockwise, the amount of air will decrease. Please follow the guidelines below to properly maintain your spa. MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE Daily • Check the water level and refill the spa to the level shown in step 5 on page 9. • Check the pH balance and sanitizer level. Adjust if necessary (see WATER CHEMISTRY on page 14). Weekly • Clean the spa shell at the waterline. • Check and thoroughly clean the filter (see CHECKING AND CLEANING THE FILTER on this page). • Replace the filter if needed (see ORDERING REPLACEMENT PARTS on the back cover). Monthly • Clean the spa cover (see MAINTAINING THE SPA COVER on this page). • Soak the filter for two hours in a trisodium phosphate (TSP) solution. Rinse the filter in clean water. • Replace the filter if needed (see ORDERING REPLACEMENT PARTS on the back cover). Every Three Months • Drain the spa and refill it with clean water. Sanitize and test the pH of the water. • Check for any leaks around the pump or joints in the pipes. The seals will wear out over time; detecting leaks early...
