On 220 Volt applications, power supply must be hard wired into the power pack. 110/220 Volt Antigua Electrical Connections: TERMINAL BLOCK Live (black) Hot Black Two Wire & Ground Neutral (white) Neutral Hot Red Ground (copper or green)GRD Note: Your Cyprus Spa’s Heater can be converted to 220 Volts. The Spa’s pump will remain 120 Volts. This change must be performed by a certified electrician. 220 Volt Antigua Electrical Connections: To convert spa from 120 volt to 220 Volt remove white jumper wire from J11 and J32. Next, move move dip switch 10 to the off position green)GRD Connections should be made using copper conductors only. The connecting wire and circuit breakers or fuses must be sized to accommodate the total ampere load as specified on the equipment module data label. Strong Pools and Spas only makes electrical recommendations, always consult a certified electrician. 4 Control Panel Operation Jets Touch the “Jets” button once to activate the low speed of the pump and again for the high speed. Press the “Jets button again to turn off the pump. If left running, the low speed of the pump will automatically turn off after 4 hours, and the high speed will automatically turn off after 15 minutes. It may also activate for at least 2 minutes every 30 minutes to detect the spa temperature and then to heat to the set temperature if needed, depending upon mode. When the low speed turns on automatically, it cannot be deactivated from the panel; however, the high speed may be started. Light There are several color options in our spas and by pressing the light button in quick succession the customer can cycle through the different lighting options. Temp The start-up temperature is set at 100.F/37.C. The last measured temperature is constantly displayed on the LCD. To display the set temperature, press the “Temp”button once. To change the set temperature, press the temp up or temp down button before the LCD stops flashing. Each press of the “Temp” button will continue to either raise or lower the set temperature. After 3 seconds, the LCD will stop flashing and display the current temperature. BEFORE START UP! IMPORTANT UNION ADJUSTMENTS There are FOUR unions that may require hand tightening prior to operation of your spa. When filling the spa with water, keep observing these fittings for any slight water drips. If a drip is observed, just hand tighten until dripping ceases. 5 Startup Preparations -Make sure that if spa is equipped with gate valves, that valves are opened. (Usually found in the Antigua spas, these gate valves are easily noticed in your access area by the distinct “T” shaped handle.) - When filling your spa remove the filter, and place hose into filter area. This will fill the plumbing first, and hopefully reduce the chance of air lock. -Fill your spa at least 2” above top jets. -Spa capacity: 280 gallons/1060 liters POWERING SPA 110 Volts (Classic Edition) Spa must be on a dedicated line, meaning there are no other appliances on this circuit, and it will need a 20 amp breaker. (Strong Industries recommends that only one GFCI be present on the circuit, and that the owner follows any local building codes) 220 Volts (Elite and Platinum Editions) The Antigua Elite (if converted) must have no lower than a 35 amp breaker, the Antigua Platinum requires a 50 amp breaker. (Strong Industries highly recommends a certified electrician performs the wiring of the spa.) -Power up spa, Controls will read the program # (r59), then 30 seconds top control should read “PUR”(This is setting was created in order to clear the pump of any air unwanted air in that area.) A-Most spas do not require pump priming B - Purge will clear lines of undesired air pockets C - If pump makes inconsistent sounds, “cavitations”,then it will need primed (this can be done by loosening the unions) -Top display will then read water temperature. Due to the variations in spas and outside conditions, spas may take up to 24 hours to reach desired temperature. 6 Changing Filter Cycles FILTRATION Proper filtration is an important key to maintaining the clarity of your spa's water. The filter system is designed for unsurpassed effectiveness at removing debris and suspensions from the water anytime the water is circulating. Your control panel is set to filter for two hours every twelve hours. A two speed pump is supplied with your spa that provides filtration on low speed, the low speed will shut off if the temperature creeps more than 2 degrees above the set point, it will turn back on when temperature drops to the set point. Filter Mode: Press Aux and Heat same time, hold until C and #, it will scroll from C2 - C12 by holding C2 = 2 hour filter cycle for every 12 hour period C5 = 5 hour filter cycle for every 12 hour period C12 = 12 hour filter cycle for every 12 hour period Release at desired setting Lower cost for less filter time, but cannot filter too much. 220 Volt Conversations: Move white wire from inside of pump plug (large red plug on s...
