Contents of the 3.4.0 Release
Matrix File Serving Solution Pack for CIFS (MxFS for CIFS) version 3.4.0
includes the following new features:
• MxFS for CIFS now supports up to 5000 active, monitored shares per
node at any time.
• When a Matrix File Share or Virtual File Share is added to MxFS for
CIFS, the subdirectories of the share can now also be shared, allowing
you to create large numbers of shares with a single command.
• A Virtual File Share can now be associated with multiple CIFS Virtual
Server configured on the same nodes, enabling load balancing to be
used. In this configuration, the Virtual File Share must be configured
identically on each CIFS Virtual Server. You can also create a Matrix
File Share having the same name as a Virtual File Share that is
configured on the same nodes; however, the shares must be
configured identically.
