All SBX phones are multifunctional and specifically designed for use with the Vertical SBX system. This chapter provides you with information that applies to all phone models, and includes: How To Use This Guide This guide provides a comprehensive description of each type of phone and its functionality. Depending upon the type of phone you have (digital or single line/SLT), you will need to review the basic information in the chapters designated for your phone type (see “Specific Phone Model Information and Features” on page 1-2). SBX Phone Features It is a good idea to review the information in specific to your SBX phone to familiarize yourself with the basic operation, features, and function. Note:You may see features available on your phone display that are not detailed in this document. This is because those features are available to System Administrators only and only detailed in the SBX Features and Operations document. In addition, it is recommended that if you find a feature on the phone display that is not described in this document, that you do NOT attempt to access the feature, but instead, contact your System Administrator for more information. Specific Phone Model Information and Features While general information for SBX phones can be found in Chapters 1 and 2 of this guide, information regarding each type of phone and phone model are covered in chapters 4 through 6. If You are Using a Digital Phone For specific details about using your digital phone, see the chapter as noted below: If You are Using a Single Line Phone For specific details about using an SBX SLT Phone, see chapter 4. Feature Index You can also use the Feature Index at the back of this document to find page locations for each feature available on your phone type.
