Damage to the unit or injury may occur. • Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. • Do not unplug by pulling or tugging on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, with dry hands only not the cord to remove plug from outlet. • Do not handle plug or use unit with wet hands. • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts. • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes. • Turn off the power before unplugging. • Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. • Do not use to pick up flammable liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be present. • Use only 10 amp VDE rated extension cords. Extension cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Use basic safety precautions so that the cord cannot be pulled or tripped over. • Keep end of hose, brushes, extension poles and other openings away from your face and body. • Do not use the vacuum without Tri-Layer Filter in place. • Always unplug this appliance before connecting or disconnecting flexible hose. • Store the vacuum indoors in a cool, dry area. Put vacuum away after use to prevent tripping accidents. • Turn off and unplug the hand vacuum when emptying the collection container. • Do not change attachments while the unit is on. • Use only the hand vacuum attachments/accessories included in this package or for this product. NOTE: Tri-Layer Filter must be used at all times when operating the hand vacuum. 1. To open the Collection Container, push Button and pull out the Collection Container. Make sure the Tri-Layer Filter is inside, then attach the Collection Container to the hand vacuum. 2. To attach the Upholstery Brush or Crevice Brush to the hand vacuum, push brush's flat end into the Suction Opening as shown. 3. To use the Flexible Hose, push the end of the hose into the Suction Opening, then attach the desired brush to the opposite end of the Flexible Hose, as shown. HOW TO USE HAND VACUUM CAUTION: The hand vacuum is a very powerful unit.
