Figure 5 a) Insert the water tank upright into the tool and swing the tank downwards. b) Fold the locking cover down and lock the water tank by snapping the locking cover in place. Figure 6 a) The wiping tool has a locking lever which prevents water from running out of the wiping tool. Make sure that the locking lever is turned to the »ON«position when work begins. b) When parking the wiping tool (also during short pauses in vacuuming), turn the locking lever to the »OFF«position. After the pause in vacuuming, turn the locking lever back into the »ON«position (see Figure 6a). Floor tools are subject to a certain amount of wear, depending on the type of hard floors you have (e.g. rough, rustic tiles). Therefore, you must check the underside of the floor tool at regular inter vals. Worn undersides of floor tools may have sharp edges that can damage sensitive hard floors, such as parquet or linoleum. The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility for damage caused by worn floor tools. When you have finished vacuuming We recommend that the tool tank should be emptied after vacuuming. Figure 8 a) Unlock, open and empty the water tank (see Figures 3, 4 and 5) b) Remove the sponge from the underside of the tool. c) Rinse the sponge thoroughly and allow to dry for approx. 24 hours ! ! Please note: Turn the locking lever to the »OFF«position so that any water still left in the tank cannot escape (see Figure 6b). Cleaning and maintenance Figure The tool connecting piece can be removed if the vacuum channel becomes blocked. To do this, remove the water tank from the tool and place the tool down with the suction opening facing upwards (see Figure 3), push the two guides (one on either side of the wheel) slightly outwards and pull the tool connecting piece upwards and away. When reinserting the connecting piece, make sure that it is seated correctly and then lock the connecting piece in place in the guide. 9 *Dependent on model en Cleaning the sponge Figure The sponge can be rinsed under running water or washed in the washing machine with a mild detergent at 30°. 10 Tips and tricks for working with the wiping tool Figure To prevent streaking, you should work in the same way as when wet wiping. Do not draw the vacuum cleaner over a surface once it has been cleaned. 11 Figure For good cleaning results, we recommend that the sponge should be removed every 15 m2, rinsed, thoroughly wrung out and fixed back in place on the underside of the tool. 12 Figure The vacuuming motion will ensure that the sponge is always evenly moistened from the water tank. The faster you move the wiping tool (with ever y movement, the ball strikes the valve), the more intensively the sponge is moistened.
