This monitor can detect your baby’s slightest movements, even while she sleeps. An alarm will sound alerting you to check your baby ONLY if she becomes absolutely still for 20 seconds. In addition, your Angelcare® monitor can also work as a conventional sound monitor. Please read all the instructions carefully before operating this monitor. Do not place any loose bedding or linen between the crib mattress and the Sensor Pad. The Sensor Pad must rest on a flat, firm surface. If your crib has a spring or slat base, place a piece of plywood or Masonite under the Sensor Pad. This support must measure at least 13 inches long on all four sides and 1/4 inch thick. (You may order a Masonite board directly from us. See Pg. 22). If your crib has a plywood base, your mattress support is firm enough to use the monitor properly. Only use your Angelcare® monitor in a stationary sleeping environment such as a crib where the Sensor Pad can rest on a flat, firm surface.
