To stop playback before the disc ends press the STOP button on the front panel. The disc stops and the display briefly shows the total tracks on the disc and then returns to the correct time. 8.) If you are finished listening open the CD door and remove your disc. 9.) To listen to the radio slide the function selector switch (CD/FM AUTO/AM) to the FM AUTO or AM position, or press the POWER ON/OFF button to turn the power ‘Off’. Note: To see the CD track number during playback, press the TIME/DISPLAY button on the front panel. The display will change from correct time to CD track number for 5 seconds, and then return to the correct time display. PAUSE Control To pause momentarily during CD playback press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the front panel again. The sound stops and the PLAY/PAUSE indicator flashes but the FM ST. disc continues to spin. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button again to cancel the Pause mode and resume normal playback. PLAY/PAUSE The sound resumes at the same point on the disc and the PLAY/PAUSE indicator stops flashing. 13 CKD3630_060404.p65 13 4/6/2004, 15:19 SKIP/Search ( / ) Controls During playback press the SKIP FWD. or SKIP REV. buttons on the front panel repeatedly to skip forward or back to higher or lower numbered tracks. Playback will start at the beginning of the selected track. To search within a track for a specific musical passage depress and hold the SKIP FWD. or SKIP REV. buttons on the front panel. The player will search rapidly forward or backward as long as the buttons are depressed. When you hear the desired passage release the buttons and normal playback will resume at that point. Note: The volume is automatically reduced during high speed music search. To start playback from a specific track load your disc as usual and wait until the display shows the total number of tracks. Press the SKIP FWD. or SKIP REV. buttons repeatedly until the desired track number appears in the display then press the PLAY/PAUSE button to begin playback on the desired track. 14 CKD3630_060404.p65 14 4/6/2004, 15:19 SPECIAL PLAYBACK MODES REPEAT PLAYBACK You can program the player to continuously repeat a single track or the entire disc. The Repeat mode can be selected while the disc is playing or while the disc is stopped. Single Track Repeat Select the track to be repeated and then press the REPEAT button on the front panel once. The REPEAT indicator begins flashing. If necessary, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to begin playback. The selected track will be repeated continuously. REPEAT All Tracks Repeat Press the REPEAT button on the front panel twice. The REPEAT indicator remains ‘On’. If necessary, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to begin playback. REPEAT The entire disc will be repeated continuously. To cancel Repeat playback press the REPEAT button on the front panel until the Repeat indicator goes ‘Off’. Repeat Playback mode may also be cancelled by pressing the STOP button, switching to Radio function, or pressing the POWER ON/OFF button to shut the power ‘Off’. 15 CKD3630_060404.p65 15 4/6/2004, 15:19 PROGRAMMED PLAYBACK Use the Programmed Playback feature to play up to 20 tracks on a disc in any desired order. You may also program a particular track to play several times within a programmed sequence if desired. Note: You cannot program a disc while it is playing. Press the STOP button to stop playback and then follow the programming steps below. 1.) Load your disc as usual and wait until the display shows the total number of tracks on the disc. 2.) Press the PROGRAM button on the front panel. The PROG. indicator flashes and Track number “0” begins flashing in the display. PROG. 3.) Press the SKIP FWD. or SKIP REV. buttons to select the first track number to be programmed. Example: Track number 7. When the desired track number appears in the display press the PROGRAM button again. Track 7 is now entered in Program Memory number “01”. The Track number display returns to the flashing “0”. 4.) Repeat step 3, selecting a different track number each time until you have entered up to 20 tracks in the program memory. To confirm the program after you have entered the last track press the PROGRAM button repeatedly. When you have completed programming the desired tracks press the PLAY/ PAUSE button to begin programmed playback. FM ST. The PLAY/PAUSE indicator comes ‘On’ and the PROG. indicator continues flashing. PROG. PLAY/PAUSE Playback will begin on the first track you programmed and will continue until the last programmed track has played. 6.) When the program is completed the player stops and the display again briefly shows the total tracks on the disc and then returns to the correct time.
