This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship which occur during normal use and does not cover damage which occurs in shipment or failures which are caused by products not supplied by the warrantor or failures which result from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, faulty installation, set-up adjustments, improper maintenance, alteration, improper antenna, inadequate signal pick-up, maladjustment of consumer controls, modification, line power surge, or commercial use of the product, or damage that is attributable to acts of God. or service by anyone other than a PASC Factory Servicenter. Notes: •Do not open the cassette compartment cover during tape operation. •Between functions {during play, fast forward or rewind), always press STOP lirst to avoid jamming the tape. •When the tape reaches the end after fast forward or rewind, press STOP to release the button. •If you set SELECTOR to RADIO to switch on the radio during tape operation, the button will not be released even though the motor has stopped. In this case, press STOP to release the button. RADIO BASS To obtain good reception FM: XBS Boosts the low frequency range. •If sound distortion occurs, turn down the volume. BATTERIES •Insert the batteries observing the correct polarities to avoid leakage and damage to this unit. •Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types {manganese, alkaline, etc.). • Remove all the batteries if the set will not be used for a long period of time. • If rechargeable batteries are to be used, rechargeable batteries manufactured by Panasonic are recommended.
