As a basic function, the LiDiC converts external video source to digital M.264 format. Thus it provides easy and useful ways of recording and time-shifting for the converted files through Beyonwiz PVR. Step 2: Connect the LiDiC to DP-S1 or DP-P1 via USB port. NOTE • You can connect two video sources to LiDiC but only one can be selected at a time. • The LiDIC can bypass the selected video and audio Inputs. A/VOUT USB S-Video, Composite HDMI, Component DP-S1, DP-P1 Operation Watching External Video Source via LiDiC After setting up the LiDiC, new items named "LiDiC 1" and "LiDiC 2" listed on the service list. Please select the "LiDiC 1" or "LiDiC 2" to watch the external video source connected to "A/V IN 1" or "A/V IN 2" respectively. NOTE • If you select the "LiDiC 2" on the service list, the LiDiC bypasses the "A/V IN 2" to the "A/V OUT" port. Otherwise, the "A/V IN 1" is bypassed to the "A/V OUT" port. Time-shifting for External Video Source You can use all the time-shifting functions for the external video source with DP-S1 or DP-P1. Please refer to user's manual of DP-S1 or DP-P1 for more Information about the time-shifting functions. Recording External Video Source You can record the external video source to DP-S1 or DP-P1 as H.264 digital video format. You can also set timers for recording the external video source. Please refer to users' manual of DP-S1 or DP-P1. Backup Recording Files As you backup the recording files to a USB storage or PC with DP-S1 or DP-P1, you can also backup the recording files generated with the LiDiC to a USB storage or PC. Please refer to users' manual of DP-S1 or DP-P1. NOTICE : This product is only for private use within the household. The recording must be for domestic or private use, not for commercial use at all. The recorded programs can't be sold or even given to anyone else. Warranty Conditions 1. Where required by Beyonwiz only the original invoice/receipt issued by the dealer will be accepted as proof of purchase. 2. Beyonwiz may reject warranty claims on equipment which it believes to be illegally acquired or when the "owner" is unable to provide proof of purchase or where security labels or serial numbers have been tampered with or removed. 3. The warranty covers only defects in the material and workmanship of the product for a period of 12 months from the date of original purchase. 4. This warranty is on "Return to Base" basis. The owner is responsible for the delivery of the equipment to the point of purchase and for collecting the repaired or replaced equipment from the same location. 5. The warranty is void if failures arise as a result of any of the following, i) Abuse, misuse, physical impact, normal wear and tear, ii) Alteration or repairs carried out with out written authorization from Beyonwiz. iii) Upgrade that are not registered by Beyonwiz iv) Operating or maintained other than in accordance with the manual supplied. 6. This equipment will not be considered defective as a result to incompatibility with other equipment or accessories other than the ones supplied with the unit at the time of purchase. 7. This unit should be returned in its original carton and protective packaging or alternatively in a packing suitable to prevent damage. Beyonwiz will not accept any responsibility for goods damaged whilst the goods are in transit. 8. Repair or replacement under the terms of this warranty does not give the right to extension or a beginning of a new warranty period. Repairs or replacements may be carried out with functionally equivalent reconditioned parts or equivalent part. Parts that have been replaced become the property of Beyonwiz. 9. The customer acknowledges that no promise representation or undertaking has been given by Beyonwiz or its dealer in relation to equipment other than as contained in this warranty. 10. A service...
