Consisting of an 1171 MultiDriver and six 9879 Wallplate Receivers, the AVM-71 system distributes component video at resolutions up to 1080p, as well as both digital and analog audio, over two inexpensive, easy-to-install Cat 5 cables from a single source to each of six outputs. 1170 Multidriver Expanders and additional Wallplate receivers can be added to expand system capacity to a maximum of 42 zones. Audio Authority's Active Gain Equalization (AGE) technology and unique cable length compensation allows adjustment for the optimal signal strength at any distance up to 1,000 feet from the source, faithfully preserving the signal's original color and detail. 1171 rear panel 1170 rear panel Expand your system by adding Audio Authority 1170 Cat 5 MultiDriver Expanders to your AVM-71. Each wallplate can be adjusted to compensate for the cable length up to 1,000 feet. 9879 wallplates come with three different decora color inserts, and install easily into standard work boxes. SixDrive® Cat S Wallplate/Receivers Audio Authority's unique selection of thoughtfully designed Cat 5 receivers are easy to install, and provide all the necessary signal types for HD entertainment systems. Component video, digital and analog audio signals are carried on two Cat 5e/6 cables to each wallplate/receiver. The active circuitry in the wallplates is powered through the Cat 5 bus, so no additional power supplies are needed at the wallplate locations. The Cat 5 bus provides a pathway for a 3rd party IR remote control signals. IR signals from receivers at the zone locations are output on the IR jack on the 1171 rear panel. In addition to the IR jack on the front of the wallplate, the 9879 has a unique auxiliary IR jack on the rear, allowing IR to be easily routed inside the wall. In addition to the 9879 Decora-style wallplate/receiver (above, center) that comes with the AVM-71 system, Audio Authority offers the option of using the 9878 stainless steel, dual-gang wallplate (left) or the enclosed 9880 receiver (right). The three can be used in any combination with the 1171 and 1170.
