Here you can specify the IP address of an offline connected device, one unit at a time. Click [OK] to apply the modified settings and close the dialog box. NOTE • This can be set only when offline. • When you click the [OK] button, communication between Amp Editor and the device will be interrupted momentarily and the device icon in the Tree View window will be grayed out until the device IP address is re-established. Once communication restarts and Amp Editor recognizes the device, the device icon in the Tree View window will indicate that the device is off-line. If Amp Editor does not recognize the device, click the [Refresh] button in the Tree View window. • When you click the [OK] button, the IP Address Mode will change to Manual. • Unless you have a specific need to do otherwise, you should set the IP address to a private address (192.168.0.2–192.168.255.253). If you need to specify a global address, please consult your network administrator before doing so. • If you change the IP Address Mode for XMV, you must set the device setting DIP switch (IP SETTING) on the XMV’s rear panel to “PC” and then restart the XMV so that the change will take effect. • Device Selects the device whose IP address will be changed. The current IP address of the selected device is shown. • IP Address Here you can change the IP address of the selected device. • Subnet Mask Displays the subnet mask of the selected device. For each device, you can specify the Ethernet port number that will be used for remote control from an external remote controller via the remote control protocol. Click [OK] to apply the modified settings and close the dialog box. NOTE • This can be set only when offline. • When you click the [OK] button, communication with the specified device will be broken and the device icon will temporarily be dimmed in the Tree View window. • Device Selects the device whose port will be changed. The current port setting of the selected device is shown below. • IP Control Port No. Specifies the Ethernet port number (49152–49407) that will be used for remote control from an external remote controller via the remote control protocol. All devices in the network can communicate on the same port number. Change the port number if there are other devices (other than the TXn/ACD1) that use the same port number. NOTE • The XMV will display the static address “49280”. [Firmware Update...], or when you click the [Firmware Update...] button of the “Device Information” dialog box. You need to update the firmware when the device is connected offline. Before updating the firmware, load the device’s information into Amp Editor and save it as a precaution. NOTE • Before you continue, you’ll need to download the firmware that you want to use, and decompress the compressed file. 1. Click the [Device] menu item [Firmware Update] . [Firmware Update...]. A folder selection dialog box will appear. The “Firmware Update” dialog box will appear. The name of the device connected offline, the current firmware version, and the IP address will be displayed. 3. Select the check box of the device that you want to update. If you click the [Select All] button, all devices will be selected. If you click the [Clear All] button, the check boxes of all devices will be cleared. 4. Click the [Update] button. The firmware update will begin. When the update is completed, the device will automatically restart. • Do not disconnect the Ethernet cable or power-off the devices while the update is proceeding.
