Each features Ashly's exclusive Variable Filter Response control which allows you to "tune in” the response best suited to your particular application. Whatever your system configuration (long-throw, short-throw, etc.), the Variable Filter Response permits you to "customize" filter performances such as Linkwitz-Riley, Butterworth and others. A 20Hz high-pass filter is built into each crossover, protecting sound systems from extreme low frequency interference or transients which could damage components. XLR inputs and outputs may be used balanced or unbalanced, and utilize the industry standard wiring configuration for interconnection to any professional equipment. Also, a special electronic power monitor for the output stages prevents turn-on transients without the use of relays. The XR-1000 provides stereo 2-way or mono 3-way operation. The XR-2000 offers the unique ability to be used as a stereo 3-way, mono 4 or 5-way, four-channel 2-way (great for stage-monitor multiple mixes), or other esoteric combinations to fit almost any application. Tuning range on both the XR-1000 and XR-2000 is 40Hz to 8kHz. The XR-3000 is a mono 4-way crossover and the XR-4000 is a stereo 4-way version. Both the XR-3000 and the XR-4000 have an extra-wide tuning range of 40Hz to 24kHz for special applications. All Ashly Electronic Crossovers use state-variable filter circuits to perform the frequency divisions, which provide simultaneous low-pass and high-pass outputs. The logical layout of the control panels provides an intuitive "easy operation" feel, and LED’s visually indicate peak indication as well as provide functional status information.
