Fire risk! • If the petrol tank is to be emptied, do this outdoors and when the engine is cold. Fire risk! • The machine should be stored in a dry place. The machine must not stored with fuel in the tank in rooms where there are naked flames, sparks or other strong sources of heat. 2.5 MAINTENANCE • Carry out maintenance regularly. All nuts and bolts should always be tight. • Only use genuine spare parts which are in good condition. Spare parts must not be repaired. They must be replaced if they are defective. Poor quality spare parts can lead to personal injury. If the muffler is damaged it must be replaced. • The engine must be stopped and the spark plug lead disconnected in the following circumstances: When adjusting the rotors. When the machine is to be cleaned or repaired. When checking after a collision with a solid hard object. Carry out the necessary repairs before continuing to work. If the machine begins to vibrate abnormally. Carry out the necessary repairs before continu ing to work. • Wear protective gloves when working with the rotors. 3 ASSEMBLY 3.1 Handle Hold the handle in position over the machine’s mounting beam and install as follows: 1. Install screw M8x65 (5:T) with washer and nut in the upper hole. 2. Install a M8-screw (6:Z) on the left side, through the cover (6:V), the handle’s circular slit and screw it into the mounting beam. 3. Install an M8 screw with wire mounting (6:Y) on the right side, through the cover (5:V), the handle’s circular slit and screw it into the mounting beam. 4. Set the handle to a comfortable working position and tighten the screws. 5. Install the screw (5:U) in the cover’s front section. 3.2 Auxiliary wheel Install the auxiliary wheel (7:L) in the rear hole and lock using the locking pin (7:T). 3.3 Cover Install the cover (1:G) with the screws supplied from underneath. 3.4 Throttle cable 1. Install the throttle cable on the engine if not already installed. See the engine supplier’s manual. 2. Pull the cable up under the cover (1:G) and over the handle’s screws. 3. Install the cable in the throttle. See fig. 7. ENGLISH GB ENGLISH GB 3.5 Cable for reverse control Only applies to 75R. The cable is marked R. 1. Pull the cable up under the cover (1:G) and over the handle’s screws. 2. Hook the cable in the reverse control (1:A) and insert the cable in the gap in the cable housing’s mounting on the left handle. 3. Adjust the cable sleeve if necessary. 3.6 Drive cable 1. Pull the cable up under the cover (1:G) and over the handle’s screws. 2. Hook the cable in the drive control (1:B) and insert the cable in the gap in the cable housing’s mounting on the left handle. 3. Adjust the cable sleeve if necessary. 3.7 Splash guards Install the splash guards on the right and left sides. Use the screws, nuts and washers supplied. 3.8 Rotor Install the outer rotors and cutting discs (1:O). Usethe screws, nuts, locking pins and washers supplied. See fig. 8. 4 DESCRIPTION The rotary cultivator is driven by a four-stroke engine and is intended for soil cultivation in private gardens. The most important parts and controls of the rotary cultivator are described below. 4.1 Reverse control (1:A) Only applies to 75R. The control is used to start the rotor for reverse when the engine is running. The reverse control and drive control (1:B) must never be activated at the same time. Control in idle mode (forward) – No drive. Control moved backwards – The machine reverses. 4.2 Drive control (1:B) The control is used to start the rotor for forward motion when the engine is running. The reverse control (1:A) and drive control must never be activated at the same time. Control in idle mode (down) – No drive. Control pulled in – Forward operation. 4.3 Throttle and stop (1:C) The control determines the engine’s rpm and has start and stop positions. The throttle control determines the speed and is used to stop the engine. Stop: Control in the rear position. Idle: Control 1 cm in front of rear position. Full throttle and start: Control in the front position. 4.4 Handle (1:D) The handle has two handgrips that are used to operate the machine over the area to be cultivated. 4.5 Fuel cap Unscrew the fuel cap to fill with petrol. The fuelcap must always be closed during operation. There are surfaces that become extremely hot under the protective grille that risk causing personal injury if touched. 4.7 Cover (1:G) The cover protects cables and the handle adjustment. 4.8 Adjusting handle (1:H) Slacken off the screws and set the handle to a comfortable working position. Then retighten the screws again. 4.9 Oil filling Always check the oil level before start ing the engine. Plug for oil filler and checking the oil level.
