The Adapter supports both 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps Ethernet function based on IEEE802.3 and IEEE802.3u LAN standard. Step 2 Insert the Driver CD into your CD drive. Step 3 If the autorun screen appears, click Exit to close the autorun screen. Step 4 Click Next at the Add New Hardware Wizard. Step 5 Select Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended) and click Next. Step 6 Check on the Specify a location check box and click Browse. 5 Step 7 Expand the CD drive and select the Win98_ME folder and click OK. Step 8 Click Next to install the driver. Step 9 Insert Windows 98SE CD when prompted to do so and click OK. Step 10 Click Finish to complete the installation. Step 11 Connect an Ethernet cable from the USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter to the desired Ethernet device. Step 12 Restart your computer. 6 Windows ME Step 1 Power on your computer and connect the USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter to your computer’s USB port. Step 2 Insert the Driver CD into your CD drive. Step 3 If the autorun screen appears, click Exit to close the autorun screen. Step 4 Select Specify the location of the driver (Advanced) and click Next. Step 5 Check on the Specify a location check box and click Browse. Step 6 Expand the CD drive and select the Win98_ME folder and click OK. 7 Step 7 Click Next to install the driver. Step 8 Click Finish to complete the installation. Step 9 Connect an Ethernet cable from the USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter to the desired Ethernet device. Step 10 Restart your computer. 8 Windows 2000 Step 1 Power on your computer and connect the USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter to your computer’s USB port. Step 2 Insert the Driver CD into your CD drive. Step 3 If the autorun screen appears, click Exit to close the autorun screen. Step 4 Click Next at the Found New Hardware Wizard. 9 Step 5 Select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended) and click Next. Step 6 Click Browse, expand the CD drive, select Win2000 folder and click OK. 10 Step 7 Click Next to install the driver. Step 8 Click Yes at the Digital Signature prompt. Step 9 Click Finish to complete the installation. Step 10 Connect an Ethernet cable from the USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter to the desired Ethernet device. Step 11 Restart your computer. 11 Verify Driver Installation To verify if the driver has been installed successfully, please perform the following steps. Step 1 Right-click on My Computer from your desktop and select Properties. Step 2 Select the Hardware tab and click on Device Manager. 12 Step 3 Expand Network adapters from the list and verify that ASIX ax88772 USB2.0 to Fast Ethernet Adapter is listed and no yellow question mark is beside it.
