Defect Fixes in ACC Version B.03.32.03
This release fixes the following defects.
•
QXCR1000742300
Symptoms: ACC cards Z7340A failed to start correctly, the 'tlog' log shows the following
entry. 20:01:56 zmon 00203 2 Card 0 reset error: MUX fatal error
Defect/Fix: An interrupt is pending/unacknowledged either on the card or the iosapic. Hence
a time out will occur waiting for the interrupt from card to the host and this leads to MUX
fatal error. The fix is done by acknowledging this interrupt which allows the card to interrupt
the host subsequently and hence the reset to go through. Simulating an interrupt to the
driver clears the interrupt on the iosapic (or card). This simulation is done by sending an
interrupt from within the nacc_dam driver.
•
JAGaf92344
Symptoms: ACC reports the following log in dmesg output. Zc_mlget: read len 20008
mlog.blen 0 return 60.
Defect/Fix: The problem is with printf()left out in the code, which is not necessary for
the fix TPO0h02037. The printf() which is not required is removed as part of the fix.
•
JAGaf91694
Symptoms: x25stop hangs when total lci configured per ACC mux exceeds 5000.
Defect/Fix: Though there were no actual terminals associated, the associated terminal count
for a link was not decremented to zero. This causes the reissue of disable request in a loop.
Code changes done to make the associated terminal count to zero if no terminals is associated
with the link.
•
JAGad51875
Symptoms: While using zdbi960 utility for debugging Z7340A card, if an 'lm' command is
issued with a length not a multiple of 4 bytes, the upload transaction fails with the following
firmware error in /var/opt/acc/log.tlog file - 12:50:52 zcom 00203 Card 0 - Firmware failure
detected (card reset)! 12:50:52 zcom 00237 Card 0 - Firmware detected error code = 0x00000001.
Defect/Fix: The backplane protocol specifies that actual transfer length should be rounded
up to multiple of 4 bytes. This is distinct from the data length which may be any value. The
length of the transfer is now rounded to a multiple of 4 bytes.
•
JAGad03282
Symptoms: Card restart occurred after issuing Clear command in 'fwtrace' utility to clear the
firmware trace buffer.
Defect/Fix: Clear command issued in fwtrace under heavy traffic caused DMA timeout, which
resulted in restart of the card. This problem happened because clear command was not
clearing the trace buffer from the beginning of the buffer. This has been fixed by clearing
the buffer always from the origin.
